As I often patrol the Taus, I could not notice - how can such place be your home, when almost anybody could be seen more then your precious IMG. I mean, IMG is rarity there. Couple mining ships, very occasionally a fighter and that is all. No real care, nothing, and you call it a home? Well good god, you take good care of it obviously!

Alright,...
Here is an excerpt from your own Tau-Pact between the IMG and Bretonia:
"Article 1 / Clause 4: The IMG agrees not to interfere in the operations of Bretonian privateers or other covert attacks by agents of the Bretonian Crown on current enemies of Bretonia such as the Colonial Remnant."
This reads as your 'fine' Guild is allowing bretonian Forces to activily hunt Colonial Republic Forces within the Tau territories.
We could take that as an offense, even if there is stated your Guild claims 'neutrality', I have read something different from yours regarding that.... let me send you a copy:
"Also, we do NOT allow the Bretonians to hunt your Civilians."
You say you are not allowing Bretonians to hunt Colonials here, bit of curiousity, as your own Tau-Pact reads bretonian Forces are allowed to attack Colonial Forces within the Taus.
"Anyway, we have brought NO wars to the Taus. When you can provide one piece of evidence that we started a war, you can talk. Until then, the -primary fighters in our area- are you. The Outcasts are OUR enemy aswell remember."
No wars you brought into the Taus? Again, you just allowed the Bretonians to openly operate against the Colonial Republic in the Taus.
Also you 'claim' the Colonial Forces still to be 'your' main protection Force in the Taus... well, then why by god are you bringing a Force openly hostile to our Republic next to our doorstep?
Do you think we havent been busy enough to keep the Outcasts away from your Guilds miners?
Next:
"Article 2 / Clause 4: The Crown of Bretonia cedes full ownership rights to the IMG of all presently undiscovered resources in Tau and Orkney (excluding additional resources discovered in existing fields currently mined by BMM), providing that BMM is granted permission to mine such IMG resources in exhange for a monthly fee to the IMG, not exceeding 10 million credits per month. In addition, there shall be full official recognition of IMG claims of ownership over all resources in fields currently mined by the IMG. No Agents of the Bretonian Crown shall in any way impede access to IMG resources by members of the IMG, and shall act to defend IMG access to their resources from those who would impede said access."
So the Bretonian Parliament attests your Guild to have 'full ownership rights' over the already discovered and all undiscovered mining fields within the Taus? Right? It is written there, so I guess you have.
A fast reminder of what you said:
"True, noone does have the right to claim the Tau's as their space. Funny thing is, noone has claimed them. Oh wait, you did, and even then you only claimed one system."
So your Guild 'claimed' all the mining fields within the Taus. And doesnt the control of the valuable ressources covered by the ownage of stations litteraly state 'ownership'?
Also I might remind you of Tau-39, which your Guild 'claimed' as their guarded home system, so dont argue with the fact the Colonial Republic 'claimed' Tau-44.
Next:
"Also, we never made a treaty with the Bretonians. ... All we did was pass some simple agreements that benefited us both,..."
Well, I would call a 'Pact' with several 'Articles' and 'Clauses' which covers your own Guilds security a 'Threaty'. You are nickpicking words for your own advantage.
---
I will make for you a summary:
- The IMG seems now to be a 'friend' with the BMM which are deeply involved in Bretonias diplomatic matters.
- The IMG is openly allowing the enemies of the Colonial Republic to operate in the Taus against the Republics Forces, yet the Guild still wants Colonial Forces to protect their traders.
- The IMG 'claimed' Tau-39.
- The IMG sends the adjudant of a R&D Division to insult the Colonial Republic.
...And as a last, what I havent stated above, but what you several times repeated:
- The IMG revoked the Colonial Republics docking rights with their stations, namely Holman, Java and Falkland.
---
Well, no problem for your Guild at all I think, looking at:
"Article2 / Clause 1: The Bretonian Armed Forces promises to defend IMG bases both in core Bretonia, Magellan, Orkney and Tau against any threats to them, and to assist in the upholding of IMG neutrality and the no-fire zones surrounding IMG Freeports in the BAF zone of operations, passing on any collected fines to the IMG."
--
Also, for some reason I believe all your Forces are somewhere in Omega-49 collecting rare materials for your Guilds profit, so you can sit back in your comfortable chairs and laugh at the Colonials doing the 'guard duty' in the Taus.
That could also be the reason, seen as to be able to get them back into the Taus you need to pass bretonian territory, for the IMG's lately with the Bretonians shared opposition against the Colonial Republic.
Maybe, maybe not.
---
Anyways, I guess you got what you wanted, we will stay 'out of your business' and let the Outcasts do 'their business' with your miners.
I say, Enjoy.
Oh, I nearly forgot: You may excuse that the Colonial Republic had taken steps to ensure 'their' safety, likely as your Guild did with the Bretonians.
I would here rephrase one of your own statements: "Also, we never made a treaty with the Kusari. All we did was pass some simple agreements that benefited us both,..."
//Right, to start, this is in RP, so if the official faction is in Omega 49 a lot, or not always in Tau 23, that doesn't mean there are no ships there at all. In RP it is our most populated system.

I'll ignore everyone except the last transmitter, as he is the first to actually make me think.

I have said this once, if not a hundred times, we do not care about your damned quarrels. All we said was that we will not fight in your war.
Also, yes, I said we don't let them hunt your Civilians.
The definition of a Civilian is as thus:
1. a person who is not on active duty with a military, naval, police, or fire fighting organization.
Hmm, well, if your military fly around in your military ships, in my eyes they are not civilians, and as such, what I said applies: "We don't give damn about your petty squabbles."
Quote:No wars you brought into the Taus? Again, you just allowed the Bretonians to openly operate against the Colonial Republic in the Taus.

Fair enough, perhaps I was slightly wrong to say that. You say we "allow" the Bretonians to operate in Tau space, but by your own confession, we don't own the Taus, so surely the Bretonians being there is not our choice, but theirs. We just don't fight them, nor you, nor the Kusarians.
Quote:So the Bretonian Parliament attests your Guild to have 'full ownership rights' over the already discovered and all undiscovered mining fields within the Taus? Right? It is written there, so I guess you have.

That merely means that in the BRETONIANS eyes, the fields belong to us. Are you miners? Why do you care about the mining fields? "And doesnt the control of the valuable ressources covered by the ownage of stations litteraly state 'ownership'?" No, it doesn't.
I also never argued with you claiming Tau 44, you are welcome to it. It is your system, and we don't mind, nor care that you have it. Where have I said I cared about Tau 44 belonging to you?
Quote:Well, I would call a 'Pact' with several 'Articles' and 'Clauses' which covers your own Guilds security a 'Threaty'. You are nickpicking words for your own advantage.
That's what an argument is.

- You claimed Tau 44.
- You have the nerve to have a go at me for talking to you, as the second in command of the IMG, while your president or even your second in command has yet to appear.
- True, because you were using them as staging points for attacking people, which would make our bases a target, something we do not want to happen.

I shall respond to this point once our leadership has decided on an important issue.
Good day, you have earned my respect "Disorder". The others have yet to earn it. Please, do come back.

All the rather useless rhetoric being thrown around is all nice and well, but I'm a pretty practical and down-to-Sirius kinda pilot. So, the main issue at hand is that the IMG are upset that our treaty gives the KNF the right to enter Tau 23, on the grounds that we don't own the system but more importantly that it brings a war onto the IMG's doorstep. I point you to this map of Tau 23, which I have put a few marks on.
The blue line is the practical boundary of the IMG in the system. Don't give me that "we go wherever we want in the system" bologna, or "nobody owns the system". Indeed, nobody outright owns Tau 23. But we all fly in it, and we all have our areas where we mainly sit. Now, the pink circle is the Outcasts sphere of influence around Cali... it's the effective range of their patrols. Sure, there's a corridor from that circle to the Tau 37 jump hole, but it's minor and not terribly relevant at this point.
The red line is the effective boundary of not only BMM mining, but Bretonian operations altogether. Rare is the time when a BAF ship ship will venture much past that line, besides the Privateers heading to Kusari through the jump holes marked in green, which is my next point. Those are the KNF's two entrance points into the system, both systems that are primarily controlled by Kusari.
Now, I understand that you're head of the R&D department of the IMG, so you may not see what the eyes of this soldier sees, which is gorramn conventional military wisdom. For the KNF to get from those jump holes to their enemy, the BMM and any BAF strike forces they're housing, they would likely circle around the Outcast-controlled sector, to the right of the map. Not only to avoid entanglements with the Outcasts, but because there is a mine field past Cali, separating the Outcast sector from the Bretonian one. It would be downright stupid for anyone to try to move a fleet through there.
What I'm trying to say is that any KNF ships that enter Tau 23 will be moving away from Java. Fighting that would occur would happen primarily along the red boundary, unless the Bretonians preempt the KNF and strike them en route to that location. Long story short, the IMG are in no way inconvenienced by the treaty. If you feel that your transports may be attacked moving through the system, let me tell you that you're as safe as you can be with them fighting each other, unless you fly through the battle and are caught in the crossfire. No one really pays attention to traders in any major conflict, trust me, I've been there.

My dear Syana, you are neither listening to the Republics concerns, nor you are able to even think about the fact that your whole complaint against the Colonial Forces might be wrong at several places.
I tried my best to make it clear for you, but seem to have failed with that.
---
I want to send you a copy here again:
"We don't give damn about your petty squabbles."
Then why are you that hard concerned about your Guild being harmed by our 'squabbles'?
Arent you not 'neutral'? Last I heard, yes.
But you are right here of course, the Colonial Republic wont care anymore about any of 'your squabbles', nor will we again 'interfere with your Guilds business'.
And if that even wasnt right now clear enough, here is another copy:
"Anyways, I guess you got what you wanted, we will stay 'out of your business' and let the Outcasts do 'their business' with your miners.
I say, Enjoy.
Oh, I nearly forgot: You may excuse that the Colonial Republic had taken steps to ensure 'their' safety, likely as your Guild did with the Bretonians.
I would here rephrase one of your own statements:
"Also, we never made a treaty with the Kusari. All we did was pass some simple agreements that benefited us both,..."

Now a personal matter:
I really hope for the sake of your 'fine' Guild that someone will cut you of the throne you seem to be sitting on.
GoodDay.
Sincerely
Ilija Korjenic,

Right, I'm bored.
We'll talk about this later, I need a glass of wine.
I'm bored of dealing with you sad, boring military types.
