Good news for the SA. I have just come from Norfolk Shipyard, where I managed to cash in a favour with one of the higher-ups there. A fully functional Liberty Cruiser is now being commissioned as a Norfolk side project... COMPLETELY FREE OF CHARGE!! (Needless to say, this was a rather large favour she owed me)
This should save SA funds and boost our military power in one go. ETA for the completion of the project could be anywhere between one day to one week, considering it will be put on the back-burner if a paying customer comes along. I have been given the one week deadline in writing, however. The SA cruiser, Magnum, will be patrolling Liberty soon.
While cruising through kusari space in my trader i happened to have a run in with a helgast pilot we all know as McNeo. Well as i began my trade music *James Brown* 22nd century edition. McNeo demands 2Mil which i bravely turn him down for and am gunned down for. Luckily Akita station picked up my escape pod. I have purchased a new ship and plan to station a fighter near that location.

I'm saddened and angered to hear that despite doubling patrols, pirates are still present in Kusari space. Each attack tarnishes the honour of the KNF. I hope we will be in a position to come to your aid if a similar incident occurs. We'll see how pirates react to the missile batteries of a wing of Kusari Gunboats. It will be a most pretty sight for Helgast pilots but alas a brief one.
Analysis of a Liberty Expeditionary Force has been completed by the Office of the Combined Fleet. Its conclusion is that such a force is possible with certain additions;
1. Commanding the force must be a Commodore (promoted by Promo board), due to being under the command of Allies. It cannot have an Admiral for it may cause friction within the command structure of our friend's forces. (Commodore, though lower than Admiral, has the perk of flying a pennant of their own upon their chosen flagship)
2. It must be noted the LEF is subject to recall due to emergencies within Liberty by Combined Fleet and the 3 Squadron commanders.
3. Such a force allows for movement up the CoC (Chain of Command) for new personnel and provides a venue for more action to improve our overall readiness.
We got a message from our supply group in Kusari that they have been attacked
by pirates recently, suggesting a whole squad to be sent over there and clean the place up
so the traders can increase our profits to fund the base constructions in Virginia.
At this moment the South Alliance is forming a Liberty Expeditionary Force to respond to requests for combined actions. However, it is a project under construction, but as a "Good Faith" pledge to greater friendship and alliances we are ordering our units to provide their services to the KNF if requested and their primary duties allow. Please do not hesitate to holler for additional units to combat the infestation that affects us all.

Lt. Kaine reporting in. Nothing new in the California sector. Yesterday, a Helghast (Condrado?) was flying amuck with the George Washington battle group (NPCs). He refused to leave, and I opened fire. I was able to damage the Junker scum, and he limped away. Sadly, the George Washington and all of her escorts rammed the planet. (*snorts* NPC battle groups patrol into planets) I managed only to pick up a few survivors. This is a sad day for the Southern Alliance.
On a lighter note, I have nearly enough funds to commission a gunboat! I thought it best not to mention my wish for one until I had the capability to purchase one. So... can i get one?

I am a long-absent Supreme Commander, Executive Commander, Grand Admiral, Fleet Admiral, and Captain in the mighty Hellfire Legion. I have returned, and am on an urgent mission from Drake Thastus to return the Legion to its former glory, and to claim the galaxy for its own. Only then will I be able to rest.

A fine job gentlemen. I have read over your battle reports and I must say I am highly pleased. You are all true exapmles of the fighting spirit of the SA. As it pertains to ship purchases, I am in agreement with the Admirality that ships need to be purchased in accordance with your rank. And to that end I am hearby promoting Lt. Mark Kaine to the rank of LtCmd. Commission your Gunboat LtCmd. Kaine and defend the people of Liberty. All ships, continue your patrols and keep the victorys coming. That is all.
