Honorable ideals I agree, but sometimes life just doesn't go that way.
Most hardworking people earning their money in a honest and legal way can't really imagine a life of a pirate, a son who's father lost his life trying to prove his worth to other.
He got their respect, by destroying helpless traders, and all he got from that was few drinks in a local pub, few stories and premature death.
Along the way he lost his family, his son, and himself.
So I say to hell with respect, i don't need it i'm not the bravest nor Im the best pilot, maybe i wont attack if outnumbered or outgunned, maybe i do prefer easy prey, but at least i get home every day in one piece, alive, and wealthier.
I ll never be the most famous pirate, maybe i ll never own one of those big ships and put my life at stake for benefit of Hispanic people, to be more precise Corsairs but I'll make enough to put food in my mouth and have a roof above my head.
I'm a coward, i don't deny it, also I'm a lousy pilot, any armed forces or police pilot could probably take me out easily but i prefer to run if outmatched, or even if equal I'll run, you know why? Because its not worth it.
Drinks i don't need stories I don't want.
I didn't choose my life, if i did I would gladly be a fat trader cruising around in my ship earning much more money and living a good life, but I didn't have any choice, now I destroy them, and not in a glorious or brave way they are just overpowered and very oftenly outnumbered.
See if I care, you won't find any valor nor you'll find chivalry from me, you will either pay or I will destroy you.
