We would like to apologize for the transmission sent out earlier today. It is in fact CEO and MIP Lars Johansen's cat that will be unavailable for 10 days, as she will be going through a surgical anti-aging operation. Her name is Rasmus.

RE: Report-based wages
Following a recent motion on the Board of Directors, a new system of wages has been introduced. It is a simple system, revolving exclusively around this channel. All reports filed here, starting today, will earn the reporting employee a fixed wage. This is currently set at 5,000,000 credits.

RE: James's Absence.
As of today I will be commanding the Appalachian until the Captain is back into a state seen fit to pilot by the medical staff on Texas.
At 0330 hours as logged in the Captains log we where boarded in the Dresden system by two Red Hessian Transports. In the conflict that happened the Captain received a right shoulder and left arm wound. There was only superficial damage done to the ship itself and the Captain is said to make a full recovery.
There was also a loss of two of the security staff, a Michael Pent and Robert Ashfield. Both killed in the line of duty protecting the ship. If you would send out the appropriate news to their living relatives/family and suggest replacements I myself would appreciate it.
Truly, Krystal Puiett, First Officer

You find three scanned documents attached to this transmission. The duty logs of both the fallen staff and a Insurance Claim for James. The Total of his Medical Expenses is 381,073.59 Credits.
I'd like to let you know I've completed the Survey of Leeds. The system is completely stripped of resources accessable to DSE. There are 2 smog clouds in orbit of Leeds and they both contain high concentrations of Toxic Waste materials. The cloud that covers sector D4 contains the highest concentrations. Use caution there. The only materials left in Leeds for extraction are in the Asteroid field around D3. However, I recommend we avoid this area due to high levels of radiation, extraction could cost more than it's worth. Scans concluded: Radiation is bad. There is a small planetoid, Waterford, which is simply an Icy world with nothing useful exept for perhaps the occasional banquet or party, so I've heard. I checked the stability of each Jumphole; I sent a probe through and back with zero problems. The jumpholes are safe. I had to deal with a number of hostile forces in this system, despite the efforts of the Armed Forces, who are busy with the defense from Kusari. I encounted several Molly gunboats, and a number of Outcast and Gaian fighters. They were easy to evade with the holo-imager installed on the Kingfisher that makes the ship appear like an asteroid on scanners. The war has unfortunately led to the destruction of one of our lanes from Stokes Mining Station to Planet Leeds. What an outrage! Here's the complete map of Leeds:
Now after processing the information collected, we have a 20% chance of completing a Jump Gate to Chester from this position. Gaians, Outcasts, and Mollys present potential threats to the contruction of of a new lane system and a Jump Gate. Espcecially since the construction site would have no direct route to Leeds. Take note that we would have to construct additional trade lanes around the toxic waste cloud. Another point of concern would be the war going on with Kusari in Leeds. They've already knocked out a set of lanes from collateral damage. Leeds is already crowded and covered in toxic filth and radiation. Perhaps we should move on and continue our surveys. Here's a map of where a new lane system and jump gate could be constructed:

I'm quite ecstatic about our newest addition to our fleet. Specifically the barge we will use to supplement our mining efforts. With the addition of this, I will would like to request permission to commision a Maffic for my usage during mining operations. Also, I would like to congratulate the entire company on this monumental achievment! Here's a photograph taken from near my mammoth transport vessel of the launch of the Barge. (Hopefully my ship demonstates the scale of Barge! A behemoth.)
I'm looking forward to mining with this thing amongst our fleet!

It was a quiet day to begin with, I'd just hopped aboard mammoth.3 and headed out to the Tremont Platinum field. On my arrival I came in contact with [The_Angels]Sass who was testing out the field and encouraging miners and first time pilots to join us.
Well, then things started getting a bit hectic as pilots came to start mining or filling transports, knowing that DSE)Foraker was unmanned, I hopped aboard to speed things up.
Then, from out of the void came the blue screen of death, Pommy's mining ship exploded, destroyed it seems by The.Snark in his Rheinland Behemoth ( or Humpback, it was too far away for precise inspection).
Zooming across my field of vision he went to another miner / trader whose name escapes me now. Then, on the local channel I recieved the Following message:
"Hello DSE, grim News, I'm about to ruin all your hard work" so, what to do, assuming this man to be dangerous, I had to stay calm, so I replied to his message with "sure, help yourself" to which I got the reply "Err....Oh, Ok." problem solved.
Shortly after I recieved yet another message via secure comm, this time from Angel Sass requesting my assistance in setting up a new DSE employee Snaps.Povolone had just got his first ship, the Starflier, "can't do much with that I thought".
Needless to say, I hopped aboard mammoth.1 to assist him, "Whoa, only 5 mill on here, not gonna get far with that"
What to do? I did the only thing, sent him 2 mill to get the paperwork sorted. I then hopped aboard my own vessel and send him 12 million credits from my own bank account to buy equipment. Hopping back from New Tokyo to Mammoth.1 at Manhattan, I instructed he buy a transport and the associated equipment.
We then proceeded to Pennsylvania to show him around the Tremont Field, the Helium Field, a miner asked us to help him out with some Ore, and, in the company of Ageira|Patagonia, we all went in convoy to Narita Outpost, New Tokyo.
Having dropped off the cargo and sending 50% of the profit to the miner ( fair's fair) we stopped off at Shinagawa to pick up optical chips for Denver where we were joined by Universal- Alicia.West ( I think I got the name right ).
The journey was uneventful and I left the convoy to park mammoth.1 on Trenton after dropping off a load of gate parts.
As one of your newest employees I would like to log my first report. Thus far, I have spent my orientation period working with DSE)Foraker and others mining in the Tremonte field and transporting the materials to where they are needed the most.
Though my crew and I have managed to avoid several pirates, we were detained twice and parted with a total of $4,000,000 credits to maintain the lives of the crew and the company's space craft. Both these attacks were in Liberty space!
Security should be increased or alternate routes found for our products, would by my humble suggestion.

Subject: Wow look at all that ore! Proposition from the Aughust Family.
Greetings DSE. As you know I've a independent contract with you all to move ore out of the Wilkes-Barre field. However my family has taken a interest in my operations and as a result our current operation's output has exceeded anyone's wildest estimates. Obviously the contract needs to be renegotiated as it was not intended for this volume. I've attached the old contract and a tentative updated one. Awaiting your response.
