There are some bugs i found tonight: *** WARNING, THIS POST CONTAIN SPOILERS ***
--When i undocked from the FP station on magellan, my ship appeared 28k north from the station.
--The solaris chaingun shoots are invisible.
--The discovery scanner range is not the one showed on the infocard, is 500m not 15k.
--One of the jump holes on the northeast of omicron delta is outside of the map. But i like the idea, so you have to explore a bit further to find it...
--In one mission on yaren base, 4 dreadnoughts appeared instead 4 fighters. (I dont know if that was intentional or not, but i liked the surprise. It was fun fighting 4 dreadnoughts instead of fighters. :yahoo: )
Thats all i remember now... there were more. I'll post them when i remember them..
(If you find any mistake in my English, please let me know via a PM)
(Really, I speak terrible English, so please, tell me if I make mistakes. I'd like to improve it a bit )
I currently posses a Large Train (from version 4.77), and were on Planet Kurile.
I bought the armor upgrade (oh, and I really love it. It's great to have when you're flying a Large Train. :))
Anyhoo, I undocked from the planet (had set a course to the jumphole to Sigma-13), and was immediately booted to the desktop.
Entered the game again. Found myself floating in space, in the atmosphere of Planet Kurile just behind the docking rings. I moved around and tried to boost up, and got thrown back to the desktop again.
Entered the game again. Found myself the place where I left, just slightly to the right of the docking ring (still in the atmosphere of Kurile), and got booted back to the desktop again before I even had the chance to actually do anything...
So at the moment, I'm hanging around in the atmosphere of Kurile and can't even dock. :P
I'm just wondering what's happening.

i've been to and from Kurlie at least three times in the past week, so i've never encountered this problem. Probably a minor bug on your computer (either that, or you have a fan on Kurlie that doesn't want you to leave :)

Oh, and it was armor upgrade V (the one that boosts your armor 2.75)

Well at least you've managed to connect to the beta server. I can only guess that some kind of ISP conflict is preventing my connection, I've tried virtually everything, short of a different PC. I've tried with my own account, and with a newly installed one, and all the combinations of set-up choices when FLMM activates the mod. I've tried turning off antivirus and firewall. Interestingly I can't connect to Lancer's 4.77.1 server either, but I can connect to 'Next New Challenge', which also runs the Discovery mod (I am Quercus on that server).
Role-played characters:
daedalus - Liberty Navy
bandersnatch - Ruthless criminal possessed by a (huge) alien
Shredder - Small-time Kusari pirate, looking to join the Blood Dragons
"Bounty Hunters. We don't need that scum." - Admiral Piett

Lancer's 4.77.1 server was taken offline IIRC.
The server that i'm running has the 4.78b on it, IP address 207.192.196.50.
See if you can ping that IP address, so I can see what could be the problem. you and one other person are the only two to have problems like this.

Wolfpack - thanks for your interest in helping. I have just found a combination that allows me to connect, so it's not the ISPs. I'll see in a moment if I can connect with my own account.
*However*, and this will be of more interest to Igiss, something has changed with 4.78 which required a change to my firewall settings (I use ZoneAlarm Pro). I now have to set ZA to allow Freelancer to act as a server and accept connections from the internet in order to use the beta. I have *never* had to use this setting to play Freelancer on the web, and I don't consider it secure. I'm not happy having to do this.
Anyone else experiencing this with their firewalls, or know what has changed?

The ports required for Freelancer are in the high port range, and Freelancer isn't generally a product that is attacked as a security concern. hackers generally go after ports 0-1024, and only go higher on the more popular server systems (Such as unreal Tournament, battlefield servers)
I run a firewall at home, and have had *NO* problems. i will attempt to install Freelancer here at work and see if the problem persists.
