Columbia had just started patrol when received an SOS from Redbear and Tasmania. Rogues 63 & 81 (both in Outcast Destroyer) were damaging Liberty properties in Texas. A pursuit started and I met Rouge 63 somewhere between Cali JH and Houston. He immediately opened fire. Columbia retaliated and damaged him. The pursuit then went all the way to California where the rogues managed to refuel and reload several times. In the course of pursuit, Columbia had to retreat due to damage to its radars rendering her blind in space (OOC: late for work). So a retreat was called by me while Redbear and Tasmania still remain in the chase. Columbia managed to limp back to Houston for repairs.
Regarding the forementioned battle with Rogue_63 and Rogue_81. I had sustained heavy damage, but managed to stay long enough to see the first death of Rogue_63. I went down soon after, and thats when Columbia joined with us. I returned to battle, and Rogue _81 gave us quite the chase around Texas. At this point i noticed he had a (bad?) habit of using cruise engines to run circles around us, to enable shield recharging. (ooc. was this the "shield running" i hear about ? I could have run away too before my death, but i stayed and fought till the end) Chasing '81 back to California, i decided (for my own experiance, and to show them what it felt like), to engage cruise as much as possible to stay alive (and i used up lots of their CD's too LOL). Eventually, i decided that we were not able to take down '81, due to his (in my opinion, cowardice). Redbear made a kill against '63 (to even the score, as he was down 1 also). While we dont hold the same beliefs, i hold Rogue_63 with high respect, as he (in my opinion), fought well to the end, with out the running in cruise of his partner. After his death, i left the California system, to Texas, as i had no intention of playing the game further with '81. I did not like my actions when i was engaging cruise, it was done in spite, and in the future i do not wish to fight this way, whether sanctioned, or not. I would rather die in proper combat, like a man (like Rogue _63 did, and like i did earlier in this battle), and i am sure i would have again, had i not engagaed cruise at the close of this battle. (ooc and i would much rather lose the battle, than win using this method.
While on patrol rotation in Texas long range scanners revealed a pirate duo (Destroyers/Cruisers?) within Cali. The RedBear and LNS-Tasmania went to investigate. However, upon arrival sensors indicated the Rogues had jumped to Texas, of course this could not be allowed. RedBear engaged and a 2 system running battle ensued. RedBear suffered heavy damage (2), but gave as good as received causing heavy damage to Rogue-63's vessel (2 kills). However, during the course of the battle the LNS-Columbia and Tasmania gave a great accounting of themselves casuing extreme damage for an SA tally of at least 5 kills. Overall, the skirmish was an excellent opportunity for our units to sharpen their skills upon the hulls of these braggarts. My comendations to both the officers and crews of the Columbia and Tasmania.

Final note: Due to Tasmania's excellent help at Alcatraz I am putting Lt. Lairig up for Lt. Commander. He has earned it many times over here and in our other SA incarnations. Congratulations Lt. Cmdr. Lairig:)
There i was, doing my duty, obeying orders, and whats this ? a promotion ? Well, just goes to show what can be done by the little people.......now, where is my clerk ???? Looks like a need a change of signature!
Helghast capital ship class was detected in New York, LSF sent an agent onboard the ship
to gather intel, it was chased to the independent system of Kepler where it disappeared.
Later we received information from a group of bounty hunters that a Helghast ship was lurking in the Omicron systems, Interceptor was sent to intercept and bring the LSF agent back.
The Helghast battleship was docked at Freeport 11 when we found it, this time it
had more dangerous weapons, the LSF agent noticed the navy insignia on the Interceptor
and escaped from the Helghast ship in an escape pod, it was picked up.
Helghast undocked and entered cruise, it stopped outside Omicron Minor jump hole
and opened fire, Interceptor responded the fire and damaged several sections of the ship (1death)
Nomads approached Interceptors position, retreated to Juneau shipyard.
Quote:Lieutenant (Junior Grade): This rank is granted to officers once they have passed the probationary period. Officers of this rank are given Defender class fighters and assigned to a fighter squadron. There are no TIS or TIG requirements.
ooc: @Thor: Not sure if its a mis-print or not, but I think you meant the Lt.(jg) to fly guardians, not defenders, considering the defender is a class 4/5 ship at best. If I am mistaken, please forgive me.
OOC: No Zeppos. Thats not a misprint. If you cant survive is a defender then you don't have what it takes to be in the SA. :PHAHAHAHA!!! Sorry about that. Couldn't resist :laugh:Misprint has been corrected. Thanks.
