Energy Cannons are less effective than the EMP ones while dealing with shields so the 5 seconds you are speaking of isn't so unnatural, besides it won't be too easy to score hits with them in a bomber vs bomber or bomber vs fighter, with their main purpose being anti-cap.

Yes! nerf bombers! They were still too powerful in bomber vs bomber vs fighter in update 1.

Eh.. IMO bombers are overpowered still...
