Perhaps someone could enlighten me as to why this was added to the ID, or why it makes sense, because I don't entirely see the merits of adding the ability to pirate Ore to the Miner ID.

They can? Woah... now THAT is interesting. I suppose that would be like a hostile takeover? Lots of stuff can happen out there in the fields, eh? I'll be awaiting the reports from other players that I'm sure will be forthcoming.

Good RP... It's not just for breakfast anymore!

Well, what's irritating and what also merited this thread is when four hours of work can go down the drain within a few seconds, when you least expect it. Freelancers with Miner IDs? I admit that I didn't see that coming.

The reason for that change is that most other mining factions can do this.

I have to wonder where the KSP are.
But that's off topic, this is NOT about "How to not get pirated."

It's about "Why this change?"

Junkers can demand cargo from non-allied ships.

Pirate Train > Mining Ship

At first I went wtf, then I went , then I went :rolleyes:and pirated some IMG for Niob.

And Kyushu and Honshu and Shikoku, occasionally Hokkaido.

We go where the people are.

But what does this have to do with the new mining/piracy thing?
