Also, if you tell the guy "if you call for help, you're dead" and he starts spamming system chat with things, can you just end his life?
You can, I guess. The piracy is over, there was no peaceful solution and it comes to combat. PvP-rules apply.
When I, personally, was dumb enough to step into a pirate's trap and I do not want to pay the pirate I usually summon EVERYONE who could give some help in populated systems (if I am feeling outgunned, that is.)
The pirate still has a chance to take out my ship (if noone arrives in time) and to collect the cash out of my hold (200k in Freighters, 2mil in my Supertransport). I always keep to the 2 hour-rule when shot down.

Well, if he PM's for help, you don't know about it anyway, and it shows enough intelligence to comply with your demands. It just makes things more interesting.
Yep. And balancing with talking to me and talking to them is something he'll have to master I guess. Smart trader will know he's doomed when I catch him anyway:D
Yeah, actually, that would make perfect sense to me.
You ask him twice, or he squeals.... if I did that, I'd understand if you started blowing me to pieces, it would be perfectly justified.
Sounds very interesting.
Maybe I'll have to run through Sigma 13 on my freighter.
"Stop now and shut down your engines. Do not call for help or you'll be floating in space faster than any Baf can power up their engines trader"
"..."
"now, those engine components. we'll take them to tripoli so you can sell them there and I'll take third of the profit. Or, you can just lose them here"
"how much do they sell for there?"
"are you daft man? Your life is at stake here, I suggest you start your cruise engine towards D7 and stop acting smart"
