This ship was originally created to serve as the craft for Aki Kimura. Aki was my old order admiral/hc member, who went renegade and then was captured by the C'tan/phantoms. The idea was that she'd be rescued by another alien race, though that race was never named or decided upon, and would come back to sirius workin under her own motives (i.e. no faction, independent craft and character, likely a terrorist ID or similar), and trying to combat the phantoms and nomads.
I've thought about using the asgard warriors as that race which rescued her and lent her the ship, since they seem to be effectively shut down and thus their RP can be expanded on by others, but I havent honestly decided one way or another yet.
The ship is meant to be destroyer class.
Size-wise, it's only slightly larger than the 'large' gunboats (imperator, hathor, etc.), and has similar agility to those ships.
It has a light destroyer powerplant (1,400,000 like the kusari destroyer), cruiser shields, and slightly more armor than a gunboat (but less than a destroyer)
Armament was going to be either 4 gunboat turrets + 2 cruiser turrets, or 6 cruiser turrets.
Essentially it's a frigate, between gunboat and destroyer.
The mixed armament would never fly. The mix of gunboat weapons (any at all) on a light cruiser is a death machine because of the relative low power cost of funboat weapons. Missiles, to be to the point.
As for the large gunboat size with cruiser stats, even very light ones, will make it a beast in capfights for dodging ability. Even if it could fire a mortar every few min, it could stay at range and lob away with impunity.
A fare setup would be 6 cruiser guns with a light cruiser pp, and a gunboat shield. Then you could have the manuverability and small size, but not the awsome pwnyness of a mixed class. The GB sheild would offset the small size.
I like the idea of the frigate class, but it has power rating issues. It just comes down to missiles really.

You realize that mon'star's necrosis has gunboat, cruiser, and battleship turret hardpoints, all with a battlecruiser (3.6 mil) power core, right?
it's something that's been done before.

I think it is a huge loss to see him gone....
Then we could use another terrorist to take up the helm of the Necrosis.
EDIT: Nice model, Tenacity.
A way a lone a last a loved a long the riverrun, past Eve and Adam's, from swerve of shore to bend of bay,
brings us by a commodius vicus of recirculation back to Howth Castle and Environs.
Yeah, Dreygons's just lurking. I thought it was because he kept getting flak for having his own ship? Meh. The Necrosis is awesome, I've flown it in SP. It's also super shmexy.

why does everyone think i'm gone? anyway the current Necrosis is made "lolable" by it's size and lack of speed. the next version will be more along the lines of what i had originally designed, small and agile.

No
