Wouldn't you like a system wide message from Fort Bush about a pirate nearby?
I think that would happen anyway!
Or ofcourse, just a /Fm to [LN] or something like that.
But it would be rather useful to have stations alert of the players that are hostile to them.
it would also force pirates to advance around by other routes or not to stay too close to bases.
That seems like a great idea. If it is doable , I'd say go for it.
PS: Could this be done for others besides the police? Then again, it would be a tad OORP if you were in NY and suddenly saw "Alert! Alert! Liberty Navy detected at Buffalo Station!"
It would be cool to have that, a kind of message set to official factions warning of hostiles woulde be great. The question is: How would bases know that x subject is hostile to you?

With actually having stations reporting where criminals are, the hunt is easier.
