I just had an idea. I don't even know if I like it, I'll throw it out there for the community to bash it.
What if there was a fairly substantial price discount for people who's capital ships have been established in-RP? Instead of powertrading for two weeks, lolling about in the capital ship for a few months, then writing an RP, if it was already written before hand, a discount could be applied to capital ship armour, or something.
I suppose we'd need a committee to discuss RP stories and such. Kind of like a lower-tier special-RP request group.
Of course, if the person who wants their capital ship has no desire to establish it in RP, they can pay full price.
It would take some forum time, but it might be doable.
Of course, the selection wouldn't be just Admin-only. And I think it would be less of a discount and more of a rebate, i.e.: they buy their capital ship and RP it a few times in a given area as a trial, and it is decided if they are to receive a portion of their money back.
A way a lone a last a loved a long the riverrun, past Eve and Adam's, from swerve of shore to bend of bay,
brings us by a commodius vicus of recirculation back to Howth Castle and Environs.
Making capital ships SRP only will take <insert ridiculous amout> of time for the admins. Admins, if you ask them, are already pissed off by the amount of sankshun reportz they have to process. Please don't make their lives even harder.

Yes, but don't most of the sanctions revolve around capitals? Boom, caps become SRP only, and we get intelligent ships and less sanctions!
I'd like to think I'm known for RPing my caps (Mainly the Immortal.Hunter and the [LN]-LNS-San.Francisco) and yet I have no RP for the San Francisco on the forums, does that mean I shouldn't have it?
Don't punish people who dislike writing and just want to have fun. Not all the cap users out there are idiots.
I have literally nothing about the Doctor on these forums, save for maybe six posts in random Order threads... and yet I'd like to think that he's a well known character, at least in the Omicrons. People acknowledge that I'm good with roleplaying.
And would I be forced to prove I can roleplay well by taking even more of my scanty time to write stories for the forum when the character is already well established?
