Now the bombers are very heavy fighters with big armor and slow turning speed.
I thought: what if we have light bombers?
They'll have one torpedo slot, low armor and shield ratings, and insane turning speeds.
They are like interceptors but with a big gun.
Here is my first go at designing one light bomber.
ill stop you right there by saying that it wont happen.
reasons
1. balance. a light bomber is basically a VHF with the ability to 1 shot kill VHFs, while have sufficient firepower to take out bigger targets as well, all at the same time having enough agility to survive for long periods of time.
2. the general theme for bombers is that we wanna go with big heavy bombers for pure anti cap use, not for anti fighter use.

(geez, how can I post message in wrong thread?)</strike>
Aw right, gonna make something usefull.
Light bomber, as you suggest, should be anti-fighter craft with heavy weapon capable of taking down capital ships. That's what we DON'T want. Bomber means it's effective against big targets but lack defenses against fighters. You would just create a I-PWN-ALL ship.

It seems you have done what most new modelers do here, which is make the ship and THEN think about who it's for. "Yer doin eet rong." You have to think about who it's for THEN make the ship.
Also, Light Bombers are somewhat taboo around here since 4.84
