The idea is that every house has freelancers who have their own fun in the house systems. Police who maintains order and works against contraband, a army for the heavy-wars and criminals. And also for every house there are 2 kind of trade-factions u can trade with.

It isnt much maybe, but i think it wouldnt make such a big difference then what we got now, but its that minor difference what could make other factions/system become more populated. And then for example kusari and bretonia liberty and rheinland can actualy have the war they are in. And every house has their own civilians etc
About capital ships and trade-Ships:
Transports: Reduce the shield and armor dramaticly hehe, 2/3 fighter ships should be able to take it down otherwise the taxing or the halting for contraband check is just useless since u need a bomber to take it doen asa...
Battleships: Battleships are a tricky thing. But i think its pretty well balanced here but still: I think it could use a bit more realisticism. For example: If you shoot a snac against a BS, then it gets the normal full-dmg but if you would shoot the snac right in his engine? Bam, instant death. But then the Battleships would be truely useless...So ive been rethinking it and came up with a solution:
-Make the BS armor lower. Give it a armor of lets say 300k
-The engine is very hot, if a ship gets behind a BS engine within range of 20M then he gets a warning of entering sun camona.
-Increase the Shield Capacity Allot! Make the shield like 1.5 mill and reduce the Regeneration rate to 4.5k. Now the hardest part is to take down the shield, what kinda is hard now i think. Though it might not look realistic on first sight, but u just have to imagine that the shield-bonus is armor bonus. Cause fighters shouldnt have any chance vs a Battleship only when you snac them into the engine/core. Unless there are like milions of fighters shooting the hull but now: If miliions of fighters shoot the shield will drop then the hull hehe
Cruisers: I find it pretty balanced too but maybe these adds would make it more realistic:
-Make the cruiser armor lower. Give it a armor of lets say 200k

-Increase the Shield Capacity Allot! Make the shield like 700k and a regeneration rate of 3.5K
Gunboats: They are fine enough, just a reduceing of shield/armor would be nice..3/4 fighters should be able to take it down with their weapons and torps/missles
About Bombers:
Ok so : the original meaning of "bomber" means that its anti-cap but: These days its anti everything what doesnt fly away for your snac hehe so maybe its a idea to make them like this:
6 weapon slots with the choice of the faction gun in bomber style. For example for the outcasts kraken/wyrm bomber guns, etc etc and the weapon stats are exactly the same as the original weapons. And also: every bomber is HEAVY to fly in. so not 1 bomber is faster in turn speed and stuff like the other: They are all equal. Very slow. Like a titan used to be in vanilla(or sabre) and they got only 1 Torpedo slot: For a snac. And stac has a 70 projectile speed so it wont kill fighter ships like that. Oh and also dont make the armor bonus TOO much..14k armor is enough.
On this way: Bombers are not useless in wars when the capitals are dead and outside wars they sorta are useless since they cant kill/cd a good fighter cause fighters are faster and have better firepower.
I hope everyone can do something with it, cause i would realy like to see more people on 1 place instead of 2 in every system hehe

If there are so many faction and not enough people to fill them, how increasing the n umber of factions will help? or do you mean deleting the existing factions and making these the new ones? bad idea I think.
I dont agree with the bomber part since its not anti everything, especially if you fail at pvp like me.
The engine thing on cruiser and BS sounds good, but im sure it would be really buggy and all, and would take lots of coding and in more simple words "We dont need it" so it wont be done
and this improves the "Civiliazation" of a house. Now its just: Police, smuglers/trader..then it could be police, civilian, smugler/trader and bandid

and the other excisted factions remain in-game but the ID's are just not for sale anymore untill server is more populated then it allready is
and maybe its nice to delete australian server and use it as a testing-server? To test things like the BS thing with engine and stuff
and yes: Bombers are anti-everything alittle:Pbombers are anti transports, capital ships and also anti fighters since u 2-hot the shield easely and then its all about shooting snac on a good moment. Piece of cake
You'll be removing many people's favourite factions. Jessicka will kill you for removing the Unioners and Watsas will do bad things to your corpse for removing the Golden Chrysanthemums.
As long as there is at least someone who likes a faction that's cause enough to keep it. I can't think of a single faction that has absolutely 0 members, indie or official.
Plus, the point of Discovery is to keep as closely to Vanilla as possible while expanding on the game. You'll be removing a lot of variety and essentially making the game "Cops vs Robbers"
This'd be a completely different mod, and bork the storyline up a great deal. Also the houses wouldn't operate properly, or have as coherent backgrounds if suddenly all these factions disappeared from history. No.

This is, without a doubt, the worst idea I've heard in the past month.
Not only are you proposing that multiple popular factions get killed (Hackers, Chrysanthemums), you're essentially suggesting that RP be degraded to childhood cops and robbers with flashier toy guns. I'm aware that Nighthawk already made that comparison, but it should be repeated. There's more to Discovery - more, even, to vanilla Freelancer than just that, and I want to keep that diversity.
