I don't know if anyone has asked this before but would it be possible to have missions that involve players taking a specific item, i.e. a parcel from one station to another for a fee, or a station wanting a player to buy a certain quantity of cargo and delivering it?
This would help traders, especially with limited offensive capabilities to gain reputation with factions without the need to pay bribes and also without the need to take trade ships into NPC war zones which I think is highly out of RP.
Codenames are supposed to be experimental weapons, right? Let's experiment! Numbers can (and almost certainly should) be tweaked, chosen for illustration purposes only.
I repeat, the numbers are purely to illustrate the concept. Tweaking is essential!
It's a sniper cannon. Less worthwhile against caps than a Mini Razor, not worth the energy on an LF that still might manage to get out of the way, but if you're trying to keep VHFs and bombers off the transport you're escorting...
9000 energy to allow for Heavy Fighters to use it.
Single player doesn't seem to have some of the features that the multiplayer version does. I understand most of you like to play multi; it makes sense that you'd place most of your attention there. But not all of us do. I like flying my capital ships wherever I want to, I like tweaking the game itself for my own enjoyment... Things I couldn't do if I joined your server, really; they'd be called 'cheating'.
(Sigh.) So, if there's anyone who's willing, might I hope to see a bit more of a single-player plot? I saw "So you Want to Buy a Capital Ship", and there seemed to be some features, such as active crew, that just don't exist in single player... Or do they?
If they do, then perhaps a more comprehensive readme or tutorial is in order?
If not, well, I hope maybe the next update will have this stuff. Thanks for your time.
1] Something must be done about the Mini Razor effect I think. Buff it. Do something to make it look more powerfull. Not as dramatic as the SNAC with the big blue explosion or anything...
Basicly a better looking projectile effect, and a little bit bigger explosion.
2] Natterturn Zwei effect needs an overhaul too I think. It is the same as the Natterturn effect and is also a smaller version of the Corsiar capital turret effect. I think something needs to be done to give it a bit more flare. Also the little blue bits of the end of the shot dont keep up the Hessian look.

I agree, and conversely, the full Battlerazor effect takes up too much resources for those of us with slower systems. I like how it used the Starkiller impact effect, but the bullet effect itself needs to be, um, pruned? A few less of those beautiful spiraling tails, so that my system doesn't catch when I fire it.
Turn the graphics settings down if your computer cannot handle them.
Codename turrets for transports and fighters, bombers, freighters could be interesting. Transports have some variety now though, so codename turrets may unfortunately be overused if they are better than normal turrets.

I don't want to turn *all* the graphic settings down when it's only flashy weapon sprites coming from my *own* ship that cause the problem. They're fine further away, but up close they cause a catch that throws my aim and timing off. Some other weapons cause the same thing. I don't want to lose the nice effects in asteroid fields and such just to get rid of one glitch. Mmm, thanks for trying, though.:)
Could we have downloads with individual ships, to plug into the singleplayer campaign? I'm especially interested in the really cool ones, like Umbrage, Hathor and Shadow.
This is a really simple request. Somehow enable a console, such as access to the chat console, for single player. I dislike getting my big ship stuck and being unable to do anything about it in single player, and as such would appreciate it if something like this with access to the /stuck command would be implemented.
