How the title says... "What abose some weapon platforms placed at the mining sites (just important ones I would say)?"

I realised that the mining sites are just defense-less! Miners are the easiest preys in game from my opinion! It would be nice to see some pretty powerful weapon platforms owned by the faction that owns the field.

Any feedback?:happy:

Indeed, there's just not a reliable way to find mercenaries to protect you. Some platforms would also help against those pesky npcs.

No platforms will stop me from popping Miners.


Good idea though, mining corps would invest in defences...

The Reason why we have the Mining Mod is that silly Transports and Miners start to use Escorts and not suggest Weapon Platforms

You can't find escorts when you need them. Good idea with the platforms.

Definetly No. Next step is to mount cruiser turrets to transporters, banning pirating ores and or mining ships and so.

Everyone wants to be the winner. Miner gets pirated, he/she gets unhappy and wants 23213 turrets. Pirate cannot pirate anyone without being whoosed by navy, he/she whines about navy being numerous in their own system. alien cannot move freely, he/she whines about anti-alien guys being too unfriendly. anti alien guys cannot kill a single alien with 12 caps, they whine about alien ship being too powerful.

You cannot be the winner everytime. You feel unsafe? Instead of earning 100 mil (or whatever Mil) per hour, earn 80 mil per hour and hire 3 escorts to keep your back safe.

ROLEPLAY. Jewelry shops don't have MG42 turret holes. They have security (escorts).



PS: No, I don't have a pirate ship, never had one and YES I have been pirated A LOT and no I am not an uber pvp'er to kill a pirate in a mining ship.

No. While inRP they would be built, pirates won't be able to inRP destroy them. Miners/traders need to learn to interact with pirates. Adding this is another layer of defense against pirates without the pirates having a way of peeling it off. Roleplay, its the server's motto.

Also:

@ other traders & miners

Pirates are not villians. The players behind them are fufilling a niche that is needed on this server. Quit making them out to be the devil.

Hmm. I'd want to know how powerful these things are. If they can't take players on at all, but can take out any NPCs, then it's good.

If not... I don't support this.

I want them to be as powerful as the Gallic WPs,so yea, powerful enough to kill a pack of NPC VHFs. Between it's ooRP for pirates to come a busy mining site, full of corp ships and to start shooting miners. Pirates are not made to go everywhere and do whatever they want. Miners are pretty defense-less now.
