I like the layout. What I don't like is the katana (ship), and overall it doesn't quite fit my imagination for smooth and clean. In short, the lack of quality is what I don't like.

On Katana. Better position, better model, or better lighting? Any combination of those three welcome.

Define 'smooth and clean'? Does it go hand in hand with less pixelation along the Katana sheaf, less fluorescence around the character render, and a better background render?

Less pixelation overall is easily achieved if you don't mind a (slightly) smaller signature.

It's hard for me to describe, really...If you look at my current signature made by Crusader, you should see what I mean by "smooth and clean". I really suck at explaining, therefore I'm sorry. I don't want to upset artists by saying "I don't like your work", if you know what I mean. I try to describe what I want as good as possible, though I suck at it.

Don't care if someone says 'It's rubbish.' As long as they give me a reason as to why it's rubbish I'm happy as it's self improvement. (sun)

Smooth and clean as described by that signature seems to involve a lot of clipping masks and segregated elements (parts that are not joined to the main body but rather off to the side.)

You want me to put more stand out parts? For instance I could have the Katana flying out-with the signature.

Do you perchance mean that it's... just one block, whereas you prefer signatures with several pieces that join to create one meaningful one? for instance, Crusader's creation has the Liberty star of to the left and your characters name down the bottom.
