* a representative, in the trademark Synth Foods Unifofrm, walks up to the Kujira Display*
A fine, fine Vessel that is. Large, but agile, and Very fuel efficent......On Behalf of Synth Foods, I would Like to Place the default Bid on the Kujira transport, as well as all five big dragons.
An intricate stand is set up alongside a small section of one wall within the hall; a large table with neatly-stacked tubes of synth paste and eager staff handing out samples, behind which hangs a large display screen showing the Synth Foods corporate logo. Off to the left of the display is a small mock-up of a biodome interior, replete with plants and a small aquaculture tank. Soon, the logo on the display fades away and is replaced by a young gentleman.
Welcome, and thank you for your interest in Synth Foods, Incorporated. The fore-front of food production and processing, Synth Foods has always been in the leader in developing new products to cater not only to the tastes of our customers, but to fulfill those special needs where food may not be so easily accessible. Today, I would like to direct you our new selection of Synth Paste flavors, each one representing the rich variety of regional cuisines found throughout colonial Sirius; tried-and-true, Synth Paste has been a favorite for generations. One of our newer products, developed for the Kusari market, is a select line dubbed 'Power Paste'; one part functional food and five parts energy supplement, Power Paste aims to keep the non-stop, active lifestyles of Kusarians fueled.
Beyond food products, Synth Foods is also proud to be the leader in planetary and orbital agricultural technologies. Through our extensive research facilities on planet Stuttgart, the greatest minds in engineering and plant sciences have initiated a program to develop Synth Food's next line of biodome products: the Phase-2 Project.
Phase-2 represents years of research into developing a self-sustaining, artificial agricultural system that supports all-natural flora and fauna life. By combining the latest aeroponics technologies, automated environmental and gravitational controls, and modular support systems, Phase-2 biodomes can provide a near-terrestrial agricultural environment in nearly any environment. Researchers indicate that, beyond a well-balanced diet, sufficient exposure to a terrestrial environment is beneficial to both the mind and body. One of our latest developments in Phase-2 is the TruSky atmospheric simulator:
To the side, the mock-up biodome structure buzzes to life.
Utilizing multi-spectrum emitters TruSky simulates a terrestrial atmosphere covering similar light and radiation backgrounds, yet can be adjusted as required to suit the needs of special flora and fauna. Bringing all of these components together, Phase-2 can provide the sensation of terra firma to those who live amidst the stars, and a small slice of paradise for planets that have yet to be tamed.
Though Phase-2 is still under development, Synth Foods has opened the program up to external investment. We hope that other see our vision of a brighter, and well-fed Sirius. On behalf of Synth Foods, thank you again for your interest and consideration into a Synth future.
The display fades back to black, the Synth Foods logo appearing back in its place.
Maybe some day, they'll see a hero is just a man who knowshe's free.
[color=#000000]A Beautiful Hydra Gunboat swung slowly in space, approaching the planet with roars of its mighty engines and elegant letters stenciled onto it saying 'Research and Development'.
The dozen IMG Eagles almost lazily circled the gunboat as it began to descend into the atmosphere, until finally approaching the large warehouse below. Overpowered jets fired, stopping the gunboats descent, and slowly the huge bulk swung round into position and gently touched down on the landing pad.
A moment later, a small hatch open from the bottom of the ship, with a ramp leading down to the landing pad. Two people walked out first.
At the front were Zenth Kynolm and Syana Kyan. Syana was dressed in an elegant white top, ideal for the hot weather at the expo.
Zenth was dressed in a standard suit and jacket, missing the tie though, and looking ready to do some serious business.
Behind Syana's high heels and long dark trousers, several aides scuttled around, trying to organize the unloading of the several brown crates.
As some of the aides ran off towards the aft section of the gunboat, a few starting pushing hover carts towards the entrance, and Zenth and Syana walked with these. Half a dozen robots aided the men and woman who moved altogether towards the door, where a Kishiro representative was waiting.
Zenth did the talking. "We're here on behalf of the Independent Miners Guild, I believe you're expecting us?"
The Kishiro man nodded eagerly. "Welcome Director Zenth and Director Kyan! We eagerly look forward to seeing some of your products today."
Syana smiled. "I'm not a Director, but thank you."
The Kishiro rep frowned slightly, looking down at his pad as if it could never be wrong.
Syana kept smiling and entered the complex, looking towards the area where they are supposed to set up, and within 30 seconds stands were being erected and banners hung, showing large pictures of the technology Syana had brought with her today.
Zenth nudged her slightly. "I'm going to have a look around this place for a while, have fun selling things!"
Syana chuckled lightly and waved as he wandered off with a couple of his aides. She turned to view the stand and started helping set up.
The large poster was the first to go up, showing off a large Mining Charge.
A crowd started to gather, interested, and when Syana stood onto the tall podium to speak, most of the men in the room became a little more interested...
Syana begins to speak into the Microphone. "Ladies and Gentlemen!"cried Syana over the crowd,"Welcome to the Independent Mining Guild's exhibit here at the Kishiro Science and Technology expo!"
Scattered applause followed. "My name is Syana Kyan, and I'm here today to show you some of the exciting things the Research and Development Division has been coming up with over the past several months."
Some murmuring in the crowd, some of them had heard about her kidnapping... "To start, it gives me great pleasure to introduce our latest advance in mining technology, the "Mining Charge."
One of the videos kicked in at that point.
"This is an animation created by our researchers, showing the sheer power of these charges. Each one has a radius of almost 1000 metres, specially designed to break open the rocks without damaging the goods inside. To do this, the charge sends out a wave at a speed of 19 metres per second, with no backwash. This wave passes the rock, breaking it into ore, and then continues onwards until it dissipates, there is no secondary wave that can damage the product inside."
Some applause, and another video kicked in.
"We have tested these charges with great success, giving us an almost 900% speed increase in mining. Sadly, creating these charges comes at great expense, but as I'm sure we all know, the amount of money that could be earned with these in such a short amount of time might be worth enough for you to purchase some of these today."
She smiled. "Which leads me onto our second item, for those with slightly smaller budgets, but who want the most from their mining vessels..."
"This is the latest turret from the IMG Research and Development labs, a mining laser with a tightened and focused beam."
More scattered applause. "We designed the MX1 (as we call it) to be the perfect laser, with a rotary power coupling and a machine tooled alignment crystal, this laser is able to shoot further, more accurately and with a faster re-fire rate, while using only 90% of the power of the markets current leader!"
Some more heavy applause now. "And it is with great pleasure I am able to announce we have brought 40 MX1's with us today"
She waved her hand towards the stall, where hover carts stood pristinely, each one holding 5 of the turrets. "And we will be selling these today! If you are from an official guild or faction and wish to bulk purchase or order any of these turrets, please do come and find me down by the stall, and if anyone has any questions about todays presentation I would be happy to answer them. Thank you for listening."
With that, she curtsied lightly and stepped down from the platform to large clapping, and the crowd seemed to come alive, running forwards towards the stands, 60 feet of merchandise, staffed by the R&D departments researchers.
Syana smiled lightly, wondering how many of the people would inquire about the Mining Charges...
[color=#FFFFFF]Konnichiwa new business partners and old friends.
Good evening as well to the numerous science and technology
enthusiasts that visited Kishiro expo and our beautiful New Tokyo.
Tonight is the closing night of this event and I hope you all enjoyed
it as much as I did. Some lectures were held, some ships were sold
but more importantly, scientists of different parts of Sirius came
closer together. We're all hoping you will visit us again soon,
if not for our technology then for beauty of Kusari.
Until the next Science and Technology expo, that will be held
on Planet Honshu in Honshu system, I bid you all farewell.
With those words, Hokani Matsuo, CEO of Kishiro Technologies stepped down from well lit podium, returning with his staff towards the nearest personnel exit. The expo is closed, and visitors are being guided towards the exits. Little of exhibits that remained are being packed up by their representatives and the remainder of the ships that were planning to be sold are preparing for launch. Ships that were sold are being taken away by Synth Foods.
//I'ld like to thank everyone who participated in this event, and all those that did want to participate but had no time to do some written roleplay. Next expo will probably be announced month earlier to faction leaders so people have time to plan ahead and prepare.
