Priority Update
We have received information from our acquaintances in the Molly Republic of a developing situation in the Dublin system. All indications are Samura and Kishiro entities aggressively deploying Mining operations in that sector.
This cannot be allowed.
Neither the Bretonian Military nor the Molly Republic are capable of strategically countering Kusari Forces.
We will be deploying a fleet, under Joint Task Force 314 to Bretonia. This situation will not be tolerated. Kusari Forces, and anyone assisting them, will be expunged from Dublin entirely.
The Molly Republic will be our primary allies in the region, as well as those currently assisting them against Kusari forces, including Red Hessians. Our units are to co-ordinate with Molly and any BAF forces and launch assaults on any Kusari mining infrastructure and forces which assist them.
Primary threat assessment indicates we will be dealing with Mining Ships and Spatial or Mafic type miner escorts. Our force will be primarily strike-craft and equivalent SHF type vehicles. The Kusari Military 'may' attempt to scramble larger warships or strike craft to assist. We will deploy sufficient forces as to be able to overwhelm and annihilate any resistance.
Finally, there have been reports of Kusari Forces basing out of both Leeds and a Zoner controlled planet known as 'Gran Canaria'. We are to gather intel on this Zoner world, and Zoner assistance of Kusari. Additional re-inforcements may need to be deployed in order to Pacify the Zoners in the region.
The Onmoraki has been deployed to Arranmore. Logistics personnel are currently awaiting launch codes for Operation Saladin. Current directive: Gather intel of star system designated "Omega-49," including planetary data of "Gran Canaria."
LRR-344 has made its first flight in the system designated "Omega-49," with no hostile encounters. Data is currently being uploaded to the neurocyte network. Atmospheric readings on inhabited Planet Gran Canaria are scheduled.
Phase-1: Strategic Defense Interceptors launched from Ainu this morning responding to an abundance of non-tagged Virals. Entities identified as -QCP- were amassed near Ainu with a single [GC] vessel. SIGINT verified they were ammassed to counter possible Naval-Forces virals sweeping the region.
Phase-2: Descision to launch a pre-emptive strike on Kusari Virals. SDI deployed and tracked comm echos to their source: Three targets were identified, inital entity designated [Keibu]-Koyanagi(Police Subprime, Type-19 "Flechette" vessel [wyrm]) was far-off boresight and seemed to have massive IFF/Subsystem miscal. Was not deemed a threat.
Primary targets were soon encountered. Two Type-5 "Filiment" Subprimes (chimaera), one had had it's aft wing sections removed. Irregardless, they were presumed inferior to our own SDI units. This was confirmed as the subsequent engagement resulted in minimal damage to our own craft. The [GC] and QCP designates soon moved into the engagement, but the latter were instructed to maintain a perimiter and clamp re-inforcements.
Overwatch forces retained the advantage throughout the engagement, though the GC vessel was forced to retreat with the enterance of the Recalibrated [Keibu] vessel into the engagement. Additional airwatch forces however, soon scrambled, and the QCP vessels flooded into the perimiter, mindless of tactical sense.
Overwatch forces drew out of the battle to let the QCP take the brunt of the engagement. Sporadic battles raged until the KNF Biotics retreated. The KSP vessel was eventually abducted and brought in for interrogation. Before he could be convinced to join us, we confirmed several Exogen contacts entering the system.
Phase-3: All allied substrates were ordered to return to base and hold a perimiter. The Police vessel and KNF vessels had all retreated or escaped, but were no longer a threat. ISG units retired and the area was seeded with tracking probes. The Darak-Ti was activated to further secure the base.
Shortly therafter, the Exogens approached primary hardpoint. Airwatch forces held the defense and local civilians were sequestered inside a protective flak box. The Exogens made no aggressive moves, and we attempted direct communication. The Exogens seemed minimally able to respond. At this time, another contact, 'Miss.Kitten', presumed to be a child who somehow acquired a spaceship, entered the perimiter. ZF communicated with the child while Operations onboard the Darak-Ti dealt with the Exogens.
The Exogens eventually brought in a compromised Necrotic to act as their speaker, and they were 'convinced' that violence would not benefit them in the short term. The Exogens departed without further incedent.
Phase-4: One final contact, a Civilian identified as 'Luka' entered the perimiter with intent to investigate the Exogen Breach. It was sternly instructed not to do so and compromise our intent. The vessel departed without incedent.
Following this, Overwatch forces returned to code-Yellow and went inactive. No further incedents to report.

SUBJ3CT: Code "Hammer Down"
<::All units. Be advised. We have a hell of a situation today.
<::Initial indications are that a sizable Colonial Remnant force was engaged in battle with Kusari Naval Forces and supporting assets in the Kyushu System today. Airwatch, GC, and Dragon forces were also present, as were Outcasts. The little skirmish attracted everyone and their mother.
This goes against standing protocol. Tactical units were recalled and the battle is belived to have ended in Kusari victory.
It goes without saying this is a major, MAJOR, incident. And the opportunity we've been waiting for.
<::Therefore, Code "Hammer Down" is in full effect. All Airwatch units in Kusari are to mobilize and displace to Hokkaido and Tau-65. All INTELSPIKE, Recon assets, Blackwatch units, and Abductors are to gather info on any and all Colonial or Kusari movements and responses. Interrogate ANYONE on the subject.
Dragon. Chrysanthemum. Outcast. Exogen. Whoever.
<::However, this conflict does not change overall diplomacy. Both Colonial Remnant and Kusari Naval Forces ships are to be prosecuted as hostiles until further notice. Engage and destroy both sides if you encounter them in already in a general engagement. Tactical prioritization stands.
<::Finally, under the circumstances, we're going to need some 'very' professional special ops units...
I'm activating Taskforce 141. They will be supported by all branches of the Consortium Overwatch.
You know the drill. Precision, Stealth, Brutality.
<:: Karkadahi, Type-72 ACM, dispatched to Shikoku jurisdiction for reconnaissance at 0650 SMT. Encountered multiple non-threats and a civil defense malcompliant of the empire, who ordered the release of captive pilots.
Quote:\CS\-Karkadahi: <:: Civil defense malcompliant detected [KSP]Shinjou.Sane:\CS\-Karkadahi, HALT. On the authority of the KSP I must order you to dispose of your cargo. \CS\-Karkadahi: <:: They will not serve the -empire- again, Sane. [KSP]Shinjou.Sane: So it is...
<:: The Type-72 ACM successfully outmaneuvered the hostile bomber. Karkadahi dispatched the civil defense malcompliant at 0709 SMT.
<:: Karkadahi then entered the Galileo system to continue reconnaissance pattern. All abnormalities will be reported to Blackwatch.

Unit commenced Operations today with a call of assistance by Unit codenamed "Sierra Squad" in the Honshu zone of operations. Lightwing Immediately responded to the call and launched. Reaching the Honshu Jurisdiction, found Sierra Squad along with an Atlas Class Transport. It was a transport carrying bio-forms which were immediately taken away by Sierra, leaving Unit to take the ship to Base of Operations.
The journey went without incident until hitting the Kyushu Jurisdiction, where the unit encountered a number of Kusari Naval Forces ships, I had little-to-no-chance against them, so leaving the Atlas free to live another day, fled.
<::Significant damage has been inflicted over the past several days. Today's deployment comes on top of the destruction of several other targets, and the routing of others. Previous squadrons had reported encountering hostile forces in the Nebula north of site "Hotel Bravo" in the Kyushu jurisdiction block engagement reports from that indicate Ion Storm interference.
<::This unit's patrol was scrambled to intercept a Luxury Liner spotted in Honshu. The vessel was tracked to Sigma-19, where Airwatch pilots callsigns Kharhkadosh and Shatterglass were already deployed and searching. We arrived on scene and immediately isolated the Liner and it's Escort, a single IMG vessel.
<::Unfortunately, the Liner was devoid of the passengers we were expecting, instead it possessed a large inventory of weaponry. Lacking a boarding party capable of overwhelming the ship's crew and securing it, we settled for taking five weapons back for analysis and replication, and escorting the Liner to Rheinland.
<::On the way back, we encountered a heavily protected Colonial convoy. Being too heavily guarded and too far outside of our re-inforcement envelope, we chose not to engage. We did however, send an anonymous tip to a KSP vessel in Honshu to intercept it and distract the local law enforcement away from ourselves.
<::After several hours of down-time, Airwatch forces deployed once again on a Joint Operation with a large Golden Chrysanthemum squadron. The Chrysanthemums' intent was to engage enemy Commerce near Kyushu, while we sought to bait enemy planetary defense vessels and attempt to capture some of them. Our first encounter was with a 'GardenPath' vessel, piloted by an individual named 'Miro Shirane'.
<::This individual appeared to be a Reporter, and was neither a threat nor showed any significant aggression. It was considered a potentially controllable media outlet, and therefore left be. Shortly thereafter, a Hogosha transport escorted by a Kusari Civil Defense vessel arrived.
<::Before either vessel could be engaged, Forecast warnings of an Ion Storm were received. We sequestered ourselves near Hotel Bravo, but the Hogosha vessel managed to escape.
<::After the storm passed, we attempted again to Isolate and Capture the Civil Defense Cabbage. The Pilot resisted and fought, despite facing superior numbers and firepower. Even with the GC vessels not-engaged, the Kusari Gunboat was woefully outclassed, and eventually withdrew. It was believed to have been irreparably damaged though, and thus, Kyushu Airspace control was maintained.
<::Following this, we returned to Commerce Control operations. The GC intercepted two transports, one which willingly complied with their demands, a second of Liberty Origin which did not. The Liberty vessel was carrying Superconductors to Nansei, and attempted to stall, presumably for re-inforcement. The mentally unfit captain was unable to comprehend his situation... and suffered for it.
<::With the threat of additional re-inforcements, the GC and Airwatch forces withdrew. With the loss of much of the cargo from the Liberty Merchant, the decision was made for transport ships to be brought into play. The Basul-Re was summoned, but delayed due to technical malfunction. The GC, fortunately, had their own transport available, and we chose the Rheinland-Kusari trade route in Honshu as a target.
<::Soon, we intercepted a Kishiro Technologies vessel, the KTS-Mabuchi, with a full load of Spacecraft Avionics. It was decided that this cargo would be confiscated. The Kishiro Captain agreed, and was escorted to Okinawa, where the Optronics were offloaded via the GC transport. Following this, the Kishiro captain was let go.
<::No further cargo ships were encountered, and the GC vessels needed to disperse. We escorted two of them to sight India-Tango on Planet Hikari, where we remain currently.
<::Follow up on recent reports of Kusari Military Substrate, designation |KRF|. This report follows on an earlier encounter by the Basul-Re. Vessels of KRF designation were sighted in Leeds and engaged by a sweeper team of Molly Republic vessels with Airwatch oversight.
<::Threat Assessment is as follows:
<::Core structure: Two Type-11 Destroyer class vessels (Designated "Shinrai" and "Sosei" respectively). Both outfitted as dedicated anti-air platforms with SOLARIS type CIWS weapons entirely. One Type-5 subprime as escort, armed with heavy experamental weaponry and a mini razor.
<::Tactical analisys shows Type-11s will attempt a crude 'scissors' formation to cover each other's blind spots and allow their partner to attack in a forward quarter. They are also aware of how to tactically use restrictors.
<::Reccomendations are to engage these vessels with heavy warships or make use of tactical restrictor surpression on our own to prevent them from completing combat turns or covering one another, as well as engaging at close range with Supernova type weapons and attempting to destroy their thrusters with Nova Torpedos.
<::Be advised. Additional |KRF| virals have been reported. They are to be identified as they are encountered.
