Greetings, and salutations, to all fellow hackers! I'm here to post my mission status of Mission #8, the one Mission about Virginia system:
After accepting the Mission, I headed from Magellan system, to Kansas, where -from Mr.Aristotle's Mission- I learned a direct Jump Hole is connected to Virginia.
After jumping into the system, I've carefully observed the near, and far regions, on my visual sensors. There was no sign of any Navy Guard patrols, tough I was prepared to some very serious laser fights out there. Maybe they were on a quick patrol break... still strange tough. Also, I must mention, that the Kansas-Virginia Jump Hole is the ONLY thing in Virginia wich is not installed by navy weapon platforms, therefore it's the only safe way in-and-out of the system. The hole itself is located in sector D6. http://img64.imageshack.us/img64/47/screen112.png This was the way, I started my Recoinassance mission.
The first thing I beheld was the Concord Asteroid Field. It is a large, barren asteroid field, wich hides most of the Navy's bases, as well as two of the three Jump Holes located in the system.
It took some time with a full cruise speed, to reach the first space station, called San Jacinto Station. The station itself is well-protected(just like the whole system...except them missing patrols), and located inside the Concord Asteroid field's sector A4. I took out a weapons platform to cause a bit of ruckus for the stations technicians. There are a number of four platforms in close vicinity to this station. http://yfrog.com/j3screen117qp http://yfrog.com/jdscreen113p
I proceeded after doing this, to further explore this system. Still in the Concord Asteroid Field I found a Jump Hole to California system. The Hole itself is protected by two navy turrets, thus it is dangerous to enter the system this way. It's located in sector B/C3 http://yfrog.com/juscreen119p
The next thing in line was another station, called Richmond station. Differs from San Jacinto, this one is also heavily protected tough. It's the nearest Station to the Kansas Jump Hole, so tread lightly when you enter, or exit from Kansas. The Co-ordinates for this installation is C5. Three weapon platforms reinforce the protection of this station. http://yfrog.com/jnscreen122p http://yfrog.com/2tscreen123fp
After taking out one of those pesky platforms at Richmond, I continued on my trail, to find the Texas Jump Hole, along with a navy Battleship, the Battleship Petersburg. This is the most dangerous part of this system, because the ship will fire on everybody who gets even near the Texas Jump Hole. It took me some nanoids, to fix the hull breach it's gunners caused to my ship. I recommend you fellow hackers to AVOID the Texas-Virginia Hole. The location to both the Battleship and the Texas Jump Hole is C3. http://yfrog.com/2pscreen124p http://yfrog.com/joscreen125p http://yfrog.com/2tscreen126p
I almost finished with my mission, when I noticed an Ice field, not too far from my main route, so I decided to check it out.The field's name is Arlington Ice Field, and my tactical sensors showed me that it's a restricted area in this restricted system, so I got real curious. It turned out to be the location of a hidden military base, one base I've never seen before, at least not ran by the navy, it was a functioning asteroid installation! The rock runs by the name Radford Base.
Could not believe my sensors, so I flew really close to it. First of all, I must say, that was the least armed base in the system, however something was amiss about it... it's location is E2, and I still can't believe I saw an operational asteroid base in the hands of the navy! http://yfrog.com/1sscreen127p http://yfrog.com/bfscreen129p
On my way out of the system, I had my time to scan the system's star, wich is a Medium Blue Green, thus a rare solar. Above that, nothing seemed to amiss about that star.
I left the system, before those guard patrols were back up operational.
I hope some day these gathered data will help us achieve our goals, and with superior information, we can beat those navy dogs in their own grounds...or at least avoid them with great results.
Greetings, once again, fellow Hackers. I stumbled upon some rather helpful mercenary who offered me some intel-data bout strange sightings in Liberty space. I won't spoiler, nor ruin the fun of those data, let's just say they worth every credit I paid to the good fellow.
Date: 2010, 8th of June Start Time: ~5th of June End Time: 8th of June, ~18:10 [Precise time Redacted for Security Reasons] Location: New London.
My mission started at Arranmore Base, Dublin. I stayed there as a guest of our Molly friends. They were Hospitable, Sort of. I partook in three nights of constant surveillance of the Bretonian systems. After a few close encounters I was in for some astounding luck, according to a few passing Junkers, four Benitez family Contacts were messing about at Trafalgar.
I took the chance and hopped in my nippy Falchion, Setting off for the New London Jumphole. I quickly made my way to Trafalgar, Where I saw the following situation:
-3 Corsair Trainee's, All in Legionaires [See addendum *1,*2,*3]
-1 Corsair Gunboat, M42 Imperator Class. [See addendum *4]
The Corsair gunboat was in front of the Trainee's, who were lined up in a neat row. I am guessing they were discussing matters of training or promotion.
I took it to the comms.
I am surprised by the lack of effort these Corsairs maintain in protecting their secrets. They gladly allowed me to do my thing, the Scylla even stated that I was a welcome guest. I am most surprised about this ''Battle Lust'' The Corsairs are so reknowned for, or the lack thereof. Very weak show.
Still, perhaps we should inform the Molly's of the new Corsair Prooving Grounds?
Well, I went on a mission to acquire 1000 of engine components, H-Fuel and ship hull panels from corporate flunkies. I started hunting near Galileo gate in Colorado in my Pirate Freighter where I was intercepted by LPI light fighter piloted by Inspector Herb. I knew my freighter won't stand a chance against well flown light fighter so I called for backup while I kept the lapdog busy trying to vaporise my ship. In the mean time professor Phate showed up and made the fool run for his life after he was fed tachyons from his guns.
I continued my hunt in Galileo to play it safer where with help of friendly Rogue I managed to seize even 2000 engine components from a small Universal convoy. It was all loaded into Ageira's Bane upon it's arrival.
The mission continued as we tried to seize H-Fuel in Bretonia. We scanned many convoys and lonely shippers with no luck to find the desired shipment. Just after I decided to head home to Mactan from Freeport 4, I encountered a convoy with H-Fuel which immediately seized and called Corporate Calamity for pick up.
The last part of the mission has proved to be the most difficult due to lack of shipments with ship hull panels. After the only shipper, who I watched for sometime in order to gather sufficient information for precise strike, moved to other business, situation looked hopeless. Luckily for me Phate came up with
a brilliant idea to force one of the traders to bring us the required amount of ship hull panels. With assistance of Mr. Sanguinetti I intercepted a trader in Cortez system. His load of berrylium was taken and held by us until he returned with the cargo I need. We exchanged it for his previous load and let him continue with his business. The whole encounter went smoothly and no shots were fired.
Reporting successful completion of Mission 6
Date : 16. June 818AS
Location : Cambridge
Good day operatives. I decided to gather intelligence data on corsair activity in Cambridge. My mission started from our Mactan base. Next stop was quick jump from Leeds to Cambridge, where I was about to wait in clouds until some of them show up. I first landed on Molly base Lisburn rock to refuel for my mission. First day there wasn't any activity but that was not a problem. I didn't give up, I decided to do the same thing tomorrow. On 16.June 1500 hours I spotted a ship that had transponder signal of corsair. So I decided to intercept him, and there he was. A corsair capital ship - cruiser "Praefect" named Pancho.Villa. I took a scan and had a chat with the captain. He acted pretty friendly, I guess he was confused from some battle or something like that. I took a Liberty to scan his ship, and to find out couple of informations from him. He seems to cooperate, strange...but better for me. Data intel is uploading.
Mission was successful without problems. It's seems that corsairs send their capital ships now and then, without much of thinking into Bretonia territory. I didn't discover any greater goals, then support to other corsairs who fight with Bretonia Armed forced and robbing the miners in Dublin.
Date: 817-06-15 to 817-06-16 Start Time: 17:00 SMT End Time: 05:22 SMT Location(s):
The Border Worlds (Omega-5, Omega-7, Omega-11)
The Edge Worlds (Omega 47, Omega-52)
This is a record of completion of Phase one of Mission 9. Image recordings of my travels in the Border and Edge worlds along with maps from system scanners can are attached if they are of interest to you:
After a quick resupply at Mactan Base, I returned to Omega-5 from Cambridge and almost immediately spotted four low-power coalition frequency's within long range of my ship, further investigation allowed me to track them to a jump hole. I recorded the location of this hole and followed the ships unnoticed to the Omega-7 jump hole where I was spotted by one of the pilots.
SCRA|Kostya.Petrovin: Lane Hacker?
Elektra.King: Hello there
SCRA|Ethan.Scott: Long way from home, no?
Elektra.King: Indeed, I have reason to be here.
SCRA|Ethan.Scott: And what would that be? Besides another target for us?
Elektra.King: I assure you I pose no threat
SCRA|CPW-Social.Credit: A Falch', eh?
SCRA|CPW-Social.Credit: Flew one of those during my stint with the Hackers.
SCRA|CPW-Social.Credit: Fast things, them.
SCRA|Ethan.Scott: Fast, but fragile.
SCRA|CPW-Social.Credit: Nothing a missile or two wont kill, if it came to that.
Two of the ships continued on to Omega-7 and the others remained behind to interrogate me.
It was at this point that we were attacked by a large number rookie corsair fighters and agreed to move to cambridge resume communications. I managed to escape the encounter along with ship scans through distracting the pilots from my purpose through conversation, we even talked about our opinions on how best to topple the corrupt government of Liberty. It was easier than I expected, it seems they have a problem concentrating on the task at hand...
SCRA|Ethan.Scott: Focusing on Ageira is like chopping away at the leg of the monster.
SCRA|Ethan.Scott: You have to aim for the neck.
So I got away with valuable information without firing a single shot and all I had to do was talk to them!
Elektra.King: Now if it is ok with you, I would like to say farewell on peaceful terms.
SCRA|Ethan.Scott: You can go, but don't return.
Well I waited some time before I risked it, but I decided to ignore Mr.Scott's instructions and investigate the jump hole I had seen the Coalition leaving from in Omega-5. Almost immediately I was under fire from several weapons platforms, a capital ship and multiple fighters, in my desperate attempts to survive I managed to grab one picture that shows the Coalition presence in Omega-52. It isn't great, but it's enough to prove that they rule that system with an iron fist.
Luckily I managed, somehow, to drift back to Mactan Base. I had sustained massive hull damage and was running low on vital resources but it didn't matter, Because I was alive and had the information I needed.
Mission 9 :
After a recent attack on several of our operatives at Freeport 4 the possible importance of the activities of the Sirius Coalition Revolutionary Army has been brought to our attention. This mission will consist of multiple phases, each of which may be accomplished one time by one Technician. After the completion of each phase, the next phase will become available. The first Technician to complete any phase should alert a Lane Hacker Professor before publishing a report.
Phase 1 : The Sirius Coalition has been tracked to the Omega systems, find the primary location of the Coalition in the Omegas using one of the following methods: Interrogation, bribery, or tracking SCRA ships back to their home system. COMPLETED Phase 2: Gather intelligence on 2 or more Coaltion ships, specifically: Weapons, equipment, ship classes and statistics. At least one of these ships should be a gunboat class vessel or larger.
Phase 3: Now that we know about the whereabouts and capabilities of the Sirius Coalition we must find out more about them. Investigate the origins, objectives and motives of the Sirius Coalition Revolutionary Army.
This is about phrase two. Today I was sight-seeing the Barrier where I met two ships aligned with Sirius Coallition Army. While we had peaceful chat, interrupted by agressive manners of one of them, I was able to scan their ships and receive some tactical data. One ship was close to Hessian RH-GM40 'Odin' (link to ship types database), another one was new 'Storm' class heavy gunboat.
Project Black Ocean - Mission Three
Mission Criteria: Analysis ; Development ; Production ; Seizure ; Delivery
Brief - Using the material provided, take a small crew of lab workers and supplies to Omicron Alpha to study in-full the creation of liquid cardimine. Use what is necessary and available to complete the assignment.
Log 1 Wrote:Log Entry 1 ' Star Date Initiative 817 A.S. Project Lead Mr. White.
We've spent hours advertising on open short range communication for any lead on liquid cardimine. I've come to believe the Outcasts heed nothing more than their own.
Using spare cardi in from the hold we've begun to put it under severe pressure using 'pressure cookers'. Cardimine takes on a dull orange tint under severe pressures, once released the cardimine is in a dense form, nearly a rock after hours of exposure to pressurized air. Atmospheric re-entry oddly returns it to a powdered form, we can't gather what it means but speculation among the team points to the ozone cooking the hull as we enter. Further study is needed, we will be capturing the ozone in specialized tanks to test several theories but I'm not expecting much yield from it.
Log 2 Wrote:Log Entry 2 ' Star Date Initiative 817 A.S. Project Lead Mr. White.
Pressurized cardimine is proving hard to consume and process, the prisoners that have been subjugated to the tests are nearly immune to the outside world and immediately retreat into themselves, death takes effect an hour after consumption of this 'rock cardi' we are abandoning this lead on the grounds it makes a human catatonic.
The ozone captured in the tanks is of minor interest, it bears a small amount of moisture and diagnostics reveal it holds molecules of cardimine suspended in a non responsive shell of proteins. We have attempted to break this protein barrier but have yielded no results. We will store this 'air cardi' for later study in a larger lab.
The Outcasts appear to tire of our presence and we have moved to the large green nebula of alien organisms beyond the planets and the Hispania wreck.
Using a spare ozone tank on a recommendation from a fellow Hacker we have begun to apply pressure to the organisms in varying masses inside the cooker. Upon injecting powdered cardimine the green organisms emit a deep blue tinting as the mass converts entirely to a dull orange rust color.
Log 3 Wrote:Log Entry 3 ' Star Date Initiative 817 A.S. Project Lead Mr.White.
Using a combination of ozone, nebula gas, pressure, and rapid cooling is yielding exciting results. This gaseous state of cardimine is currently being tested on captured bounty hunter pilots and the results are unstable.
Subjects display severe aggression in the beginning and from there it is probably based on temperament, of course BHG pilots are former criminals. We are attempting to purify the nebula gas with some success.
Log Wrote:Log Entry 4 ' Star Date Initiative 817 A.S. Project Lead Mr. White.
This purified gas is of considerable interest, in its cleaned state a subject can easily over-dose but in small shots it gives a rapid euphoric state that temporarily will stop pain. We have acquired more test subjects as well.
The lab technicians are reporting that by adding H20 they are able to force the gaseous cardimine into a liquid state, though only temporarily. We are fine tuning the equations to hopefully create a stable mix that will last longer.
Log 5 Wrote:Log Entry 5 ' Star Date Initiative 817 A.S. Project Lead Mr. White.
With a careful mix of pressure, water, ozone, and nebula we are able to create a liquid cardimine. The crew is ecstatic, the test subjects are in a constant euphoric state of a rust colored cloud as we continue to refine this process. The orbit around our vessel is clogged with BHG pilots we have been forced to eject, I watch them impact the hull as they float about and die. I am glad to be a Hacker and not a BHG pilot.
Log 6 Wrote:Log Entry 6 ' Star Date Initiative 817 A.S. Project Lead Mr. White.
We have run out of ozone and nebula, one of the lab techs tested the most refined liquid cardimine we have made yet. We are openly letting the cardi stand in a bowl on the ship watching it. It is fragile to be sure, with a sudden jolt it will return to a gaseous state. We have injected the liquid cardi under pressure into small personnel tanks that can be hidden on a person with ease. After hours of remaining stable the liquid cardimine will enter a 'stable' state, using specialized nozzles injection will not be fatal to the user; I pity the soul that suffers an explosive pressure blow out to the veins death would be inevitable.
Log 7 Wrote:Log Entry 7 ' Star Date Initiative 817 A.S. Project Lead Mr. White.
We are sending this rather lengthy transmission packet back, I would consider the Operation concluded based on the equipment taken with me, proper scientists can take it from here based on what we've achieved. Breaking down the equation it is rather lengthy but almost childish in nature, if we had the power I'm sure we would find Malta to be the last residenses of this interstellar body used this world like a giant pharmasuitical planet. Though something tells me we will never have the full story in that regard.
We've discharged the BHG pilots that remained to the Outcasts, they are nearly catatonic due to exposure of such large quantities of "liqiud cardimine"; though the Outcasts appeared to not care and dragged them off to their deaths.
Hydrogen+Oxygen+Purified[Nebula gas of Omicron Alpha]+Cardimine+Psi956=HONgCm
Make no mistake we have made a liquid cardimine but it is imperfect in many regards and deadlier than its powdered brother.
Using the freed cargo space, we have loaded down with as much cardimine we can carry and are returning to Mactan.
These pictures were taken in the New York system. They show the being known as Y-90, using an unknown ship. Its ability to mount Cruiser-type weaponry on a relatively small ship is puzzling. This vessel is very agile for a ship of its class, with maneuverability comparable to a Gunboat. However it uses only regular armor enhancement.
The AI ships seem to obey law anytime. On the pictures it can be seen that the AI is trying to prevent Mr Pistols and me from extorting a corporate puppet. Two possible explanations : Either the AIs posses a form of conscience, or even robots can be corrupt and obey the authorities as governmental lapdogs.
This picture is from a very interesting AI. I met it in Magellan. You can see it is controlling a Zoner Exploration Gunboat.
This AI, known as C.A.I.N, speaks like a perfectly normal human. Only a careful scan of its ship assured me it was a non-human pilot in there. This is probably the result of a "Man/Machine" combination, where a human brain takes control of a machine. The specimen is absolutely able to feel human emotions, since it is friend to a Rogue.
AI beings are not to be underestimated, but capturing a "living" subject can be extremely profitable to our R&D projects.
This concludes my report.
