OK so the rules state "No dock Killing" that's not very descriptive. Why do I say that? Well just now in New London two Xeno Bombers engaged and killed (on the first shot) two pilots that a were undocking from southamton shipyard, after the server restart (not me btw). While I can understand their need to kill, I believe you are meant to allow someone the chance to get a full control of their ship before you can open fire.
The two pilots killed, did not even have the chance to actually change course after the undock cutscene.
Now what really makes this suspect in my mind is, just before the server went down for the restart, 3 or 4 of us where about to engage these xenos. But the 5 min message came up, and we all had to log out. I think they fully knew we would be at the station and came right outside to kill those that undocked... now I could be wrong, but that's how it looks from where I am standing.
Not that I mind being killed or anything, infact these two have killed me 3 or 4 times now anyway, all good fights really, but this does not excuse dock killing. Can someone please verify how the rules stand in this manor. I mean their argument seems to be that you can't take damage while undocking... so then why the no dock killing rule? If the person is killed before they can even move their ship, does that count as a dock kill?
You should get some screenshots of that happening. Dock killing is shooting them before they get out of cutscene, and a second after that. The general rule has been to allow them to start moving before shooting them. When undocking, your vulnerable. Docking is different, custscene starts and your invincible. Undocking CAN hurt you, and thats why its against rules until the person can begin to move.
If memory serves, FLHook has a 5 second safety so that anyone who undocks is safe for 5 seconds and is invulnerable. However, the rule is in place in case this doesn't work properly.
They way you are describing this, it seems to be a case of dock-raping. This is something minimal enough to be an admin warning, then if they do it again, a fine/ban.
Point in fact, you are not invincible when docking our undocking. I was once stupid enough to fly a cargo transport in Omega-5. When I engaged the docking sequence I got stuck between 2 asteroids during the cut scene. While my ship was stuck there doing nothing a Pirate (I leave his name out as I do not blame him) kept on shooting at me and eventually destroyed me. Orvidos can verify this story because I was traveling with him at the time. When all was said and done my convoy and myself had a good laugh and I bought a much nimbler Whale.
Maybe when you get stuck for a period of time, your vulnerable again. Because I've docked with no shield left, and about 15 nomads shooting me, along with a nomad BS and not died. Many other examples as well.
I might be new on this server but i have played on other servers in the past.
I would say Respect it when a player is starting to dock and the docking lights normally Red start flashing.
When a player is undocking give him/her time to be able to move, in other words if the only way you can get a kill is by DR?ing then you have a serius Pvp?ing problem.
I see only 1 thing that can justify DR, and that is if a player is spottet with a illegial mod (FL Hook do not catsh everything) that refuses to logoffand turn it off. Then it is ok to keep that player docked until 1, the player leaves or 2 someone get in contackt with a admin that can remove the player from console.
The above written is my meaning.
I am not a native English Speaker, so i make grammar errors.
But it annoys me when people make silly comments about that... especially brits who for the most part can't speak their own language let alone anyone elses!

This is pretty much how I saw the server too, in fact this is how it has been in a few other pvp fights I've had, like when 2 pirates got me undocking in O49.. they were cool, because they left me undock and then started RP chat... I'm not the type to just run anyway, and made a few replys... by this time I was on one side of the base, and they were on the other, they made the bribe demand, I turned it down (it was a good deal, but i wanted to test my pvp set up to be honest) so we had a good fight:)
For me, it's just natural to allow such "understanding" between parties... I guess I was wrong in thinking the rest of the server had this view too.
Anyway, seen as the OP was actually not me, but a friend of mine and another lawful pilot that wanted to help out, I don't have the proof :/ they didn't think to screen shot (things happened way too quickly). One thing is for sure, I won't be RP pvp fighting those xeno's anymore, they have lost my respect on the server and well, they can go find their content somewhere else, I won't be providing them content anymore.
