Free stuff is always good, plus the stuff you're offering are of excelent quality. I'd like to see some of them put into the mod.

NOTE: This particular ship mesh may have some missing/overlapping polys due to the fact that exactly when i was saving the model my pc crashed because the power went off.
I fixed all -bad- polys that I could find, however there may be a few that I didn't saw. Even so, the model should be useable.

You, sir, need to begin focusing on making the renders as awesome as the actual ships; the models are amazing, but the materials and lighting don't seem to interact much.

Example: The trusses on the above model could have been more specular, whereas the standard hull would be closer to lambertian, and the windows would be emissive. Different lighting might be needed to make all of these distinguishable in the render, as well.

You can (and do) make the models as awesome as you want in 3-d, but the 2-d images of them should be as good a representation of them as possible; whether or not they're used in various projects can depend a lot on first impressions.

This is with all due respect to the quality of your work, which is phenomenal.

Thing is I want ppl to see them as they really are, as you'd see them ingame for example. I can add all sorts of lights and make the renders look incredible but the model will still look "basic" ingame. That was the idea.

Just incase you didn't catch it in my PM...

My school has a 3D Studio on-site, Huhu Studios (They did Buzz & Popy, Angel Wars, Veggie Tales...etc...etc). One of the lead modelers was looking over my shoulder when I was checking out your blog and expressed how impressed he was at the quality of the models.

Amazing work once again!

Hey guys

Sorry for being so quiet lately but I've been working on a game called "Miner Wars". Speaking of which I'm looking for some 3D artists (I know there's a fair bunch here) that would like to contribute to the game with original spaceship models, atm there's a need for new motherships. Miner Wars is a space combat sim featuring a destructible environment and is a combination of single player story game and MMO. It is currently being developed and not far from releasing a playable beta.
If you're interested in this and would like to know more pls check their website.

You can also watch some vids on youtube to see the current state of development:

Thanks
