Quote:5.9 Disconnecting from the server in a PvP fight to escape, as well as in any other situation that involves player interaction, is not allowed. If you lose server connection during a player interaction, you should get back in game quickly to continue the interaction, with the other player's permission. If that is not possible, then post on the forums and PM the players involved.
Consequences: Your F1 saved your ship from total destruction. But your guns still fell off, as did your bank account.
If you post in this sanction and are not directly involved or a leader of the accused person's faction be advised
that you are consenting to be subjected to the reprisal of my choice which may involve in game repercussions
up to a ban.

Fair play i did use the F1 mid firefight. There was a mitigating circumstance ie. a screaming child with a bad nightmare. Real life rearing it's ugly head i'm afraid (although not as afraid as my boy was). That and I thought I was doing pretty well against three Rhienland ships. But I did F! there is no denying that. I did however come back online ASAP and contacted the player whose name I remembered to invite them all back for a bit more aggro but two of them had gone offline as far as I know. So how long is this sanction? Do I get my guns back? Do I get my very hard earned money back?
I was one of the three Rheinland ships (Fl.Paul.Fisher) and although there was indeed an F1, he did explain why and that he was going to F1. Im not against a sanction, because a little more explanation could have been possible. but this sanction is quite harsh and I believe he didn't F1 to save his ship.
@veefa, I didn't report you, Im kinda on your side here.
Okay, in all fairness - do we have any screens where this was said, and possibly the person that actually filed the report was not contacted, since it was apparently a group effort to take out the ship?

There were 3 ships attacking Veefa. Me, another RM and a Merc. I don't know who reported Veefa. I believe I have a screenshot of Veefa saying something like. I gtg, screaming baby. I can check this on monday.
I believe F1 was not the correct solution in this case (a temporary cease fire would have been better for instance), but I believe clearing his bank account is too harsh. Ill get back to this on Monday hopefully with a screenshot, or at least DSace log.
I know you contacted me about 15 minutes later, when I was flying a different ship, systems away from the place. Both the RM ships were gone at the time.
You can't expect people to wait until you resolve your RL issues, although I have an understanding for you. You should have went with some sort of critical failure on your ship or something. Your ship would have probably been destroyed if it wasn't jumping all over the place, but that's not your fault either, I guess.
Point being, a sort of Matrix effect should apply - if you need to pull out, there has to be some sort of consequence. Because frankly, it does not matter what the reason is. Stuff happens. Happy playing...
My thanks for the reply's. A cesefire would have been the correct response in hindsight which we all know is 20/20. I failed to do that. I could have just drifted and taken pot luck, taken the resultant hit resupplied and lost say 40'000cr which is no big deal. I did what I thought best at the time.
I enjoyed the RP leading up to the firefight and a good time was had by all. it's a pity that some one took my ill advised F1 to heart but real life does intrude at the wrong moment and it is after all just a game. I belive that a screaming child is more important than a lengthy message to fellow players. If those players disagree then hopefully they will one day be blessed with children of there own and will do the same as I did.
