A New Berlin Museum call to private owners of artefacts

Everything in this universe is marked by the relentless flow of time. From the beginning, to the end. Nothing withstands time's tides for too long. All that we can do is raise a seawall, thus slowing the erosion. Artefacts whether of human or other origin are no exemption. That is why the New Berlin Museum calls to all private owners of artefacts of any form and shape to let our institution protect their priceless artefacts from the effects of time. Only in highly controlled environment will these jewels of unmatched beauty stay for the posterity.

We do not seek to buy artefacts or to transfer ownership. All objects will remain in possession of their owners. Only the physical location is to change. Names of the owners may, if required, be publicly displayed next to their artefact. All of the objects received will be on display on Planet New Berlin as a part of a permanent exhibition. Secure transport and all associated costs are to be arranged by the Museum.

That is why, we would like to examine every object before it is transported. After all, our wallet is not thick enough to support expensive system to system transportation of something that is just a toy. On the other hand, no price is too high for something of real historical value. Our renowned experts, who have taken part in such matters many times before, will beyond any shade of doubt arrange everything on a more personal level with a touch of professional discretion. I have certainly enjoyed some of this fine Rheinland beer, along with some wonderful wiener schnitzel with sauerkraut. An EXCELLENT meal, I'm quite sure.

I think that the Bundespolizei has the capabilities of stopping this like a sieve has a chance of holding water. A small fire broke out upon the roof of the RFP Headquarters building this evening. A spokesman said that it appeared to be nothing serious, merely a short-circuit in an electrical panel. Damage was contained to that one panel, which was completely destroyed. Firefighters are investigating the cause.

So this signal won't reach the bulk of Rheinland space for years. Nevertheless, I can't speak entirely freely, as you might imagine. We've had quite some trouble when our trust in the security of transmissions was too great. You never know who might intercept a signal. We'll have to find alternative means of communication. it is good that we can speak confidentially. It is even better that i obviously speak to someone who shares my love for the alien artifacts and is not afraid of them like so many hombres ignorante. But i get ahead of myself - as you might have noticed, this transmission is not from your average Dreeport or Junkers cove where one might normally buy the precious artifacts in the houses -to put it bluntly señor i am a proud child of the honorable Benitez familia, a Corsair.
With all the strings that come attached to this, i might be still the best ressource for true artifacts there is for you museum.
Si, i ment true artifacts normally intended for the Corsair Empires marked or our closest allies. Not the small, nonfunctioning showpieces that are sold at Cretes spaceport. The real deal señor, pieces with history...pieces that might have more value than the mystic air or alien writings! Now you might think i have gone loco from radiation or such...but we all know what artifacts are capable of, especially in regards to the ..history of Sirius...
Did you know that some of our finest customers might be the military and corporal researchers skimming the market with proxies....always looking for THE one artifact? The one that might change history upon itself? This is also the sole reason our beloved artifacts are treated as contraband...they don't want the average Sirian to prosper and disfrutar de artifacts! That's why Sirian children get told to be scared of the usefull artifacts and the "evil Corsairs"....si si...that is the truth- but propably you might have guessed that much already.
Now...la tienda: I have handselected two special items from my personal vault, and i will see them to New Berlin spaceport through my channels. But i want something in return, too señor Maister! I want people to -know- they are not endangered by artifacts, i want people to -know- they could prosper from them if they had enough and the right ones, i want people to -think- why the houses try to keep such valuable goods away from them. Can you help me with that señor Maister?

To ease your decison a bit, here is some data on the pieces i had in mind for your museum:

This beautiful piece is one of the artifacts i personally collected on my rite of passage, deep within the Maldava cloud. I integrated it into the control stick of my first Titan to keep my aim steady and my navigation safe. Guess what señor, i had countless battles with this ship and it always served me well- i am still alive afterall, si? I claim it focusses ones mind while you grasp it and prepare yourself for battle. If you do not trust me...try it, si?

The second piece is a bit larger, about 1 m tall in total:

This artifact belongs to my original familia- so it is a very personal piece, too. The artifact is not as much as a lucky charm as the other one, instead it obviously creates fertile ground! It was always placed in the tiny Olive garden of mi familia, and even el abuelo swears by his honor it is the sole thing that made anything there grow untill we could buy and pay for watering and fertilizers! Have you ever heard how little grows on planet Crete? This must be the benvolent influence of the artifact!!

Sehr geehrter Herr Benitez,

as an archaeologist I have a great difficulty believing in the "unexplained" powers of the artefacts. That doesn't mean that I do not believe, in fact I want to believe and yet... it's rather strange.

The pieces you have shown are without doubt magnificent in a way no artefact I have ever seen. The awe and wonder of those who would come to admire these objects cannot be imagined. If it was my personal decision, I wouldn't hesitate. However, we are looking for something specific, the third peace of a puzzle. Perhaps you could help us find it, seeing your tremendous know-how and experience. We are looking for the third scroll of the tome that we call Fischer's scrolls. Two were found in 729 by a renowned archaeologist Hans Fischer. Their appearance is unique.

We believe that the third piece will help us at least partially understand the meaning of those symbols. It should be similar to the above depicted object. We do understand that the chances of you having it in your possession are slim. Any information regarding similar artefacts would be extremely welcome. Even if it's a rumour, or a faint memory of seeing something similar.

The acceptance of artefacts in Rheinland society could have been taken for granted some time ago. Sadly things have changed in the past two decades. Our power to influence is, as you might imagine, rather limited. Nevertheless, we're doing what we can and as time passes, eddies of collective conciseness change.

i have muy bueno news for you...i found a way to get my gems to New Berlin in a safe, secure and most of all discrete way. Close and trustfull associates of mine will pick up the cargo from me and deliver it from within Rheinland and to your Museum. So don't be surprised if suddenly someone wants to give you a packege and immediatly turns the other way, si?
I hope you appreciate this gift of mine...and i am sure you will try to spread acceptance and knowlege of the benefical and maybe life changinge positive characteristics about the real artifacts from the Omicrons!

Concerning...the artifacts you call Fischer Tomes- i have no knowlege of those as obviously they wouldn't be named Fischer Tome here on Crete...but i will try to screen all my sources here. It would be beneficial to get more informations on how and where this señor Fischer got his gems, maybe this leads to something,si? Of course...any other information on those would help aswell.

It seems that this endeavor is progressing muy bueno, just remember - this is not a science meeting, this only happens for the artifacts and their acceptance...
