I won't go starting a trial-by-forum. I was a Xeno in a Crow, up against three Navy VHF, a Salvager and I think 2 Recyclers (at least one). I'm used to having independents jumping in from all angles and without any notice, including traders in their heavy transports, but I expect better of an official faction, I really do. If the fight had been going for an age and the Navy were needing assistance then I could accept that, but they jumped in right away as it started.
Would you happen to be called 'Sanford', or something similar?
If not, please disregard the following message.
If so, I happened to be there, in my Firefly, when I came across the tradelanes you disrupted, and you insulted all Junkerdom. I don't know or really care what happened after I left (instead of sticking around and pounding on you, as you imply); Junkers fight to win, fairness be forgotten. We don't take trash off of Xenos, and I'd hoped that you would expect that.
If you can't fight the fight, don't talk the talk.

Ok, knowing it was a Xeno in a Crow helps. From the first post, from all I knew, you may have been a Dreadnought camping Rochester.
If you PM me the names, I will look into it. 6v1 is excessive.
When your members join in a large fight that has been going on for a while, not to mention a fight where your side has the advantage in numbers, it's good practice to say something a little more involved than "Engaging".
Also, quoting rule 5.2,
Quote:"Engaging" is not sufficient.
Also, please learn how to spell "Junkers". *facepalm*
I an referring to the battle in Kyushu that happened yesterday.
For what it's worth, one of the Junkers gave me an ultimatum to leave the area just as I shot the trade lane as a Navy fighter was trying to take it. Basically, I got what I deserved if you consider the reality of the matter, but when it comes to good gaming then 6v1 certainly is a little excessive. The truth is, it's a FPS and RP issue rather than a Junker Congress matter, it's the game. We can only take such problems in our stride and that I must do.
Rick here. I find your concern rather amusing, General of the dogs Yarr. For it looks like you and your government lapdogs who initiated the hotilities were suddenly very concerned and afraid, when instead of running away without firing a shot, I finally turn around to see you all. Interesting that so many of you should start complaining then.
Directing reinforcements in? Why wouldn't I tell the BAF where you all were? I came back to retrieve my good comrade, Congressmen Gryphon, and left, killing the lane to prevent anyone from following.
And - 'twas your lot that reengaged me, with that CD you shot at my engines. I never fired a shot, and the only words I spoke on unsecured channels are below.
Perhaps the main problem with being a member of only one faction is that it can limit your long-term perspective.
I joined up with the Congress around September, and've been with them since, with a few months off due to computer problems.
This means that no matter what angle I look from, nothing really changes; the pigl--er, Hogosha (typing that insult's become almost automatic now) and the Xenos are always the enemy, the lawful forces are always something to keep an eye out for, almost never a source of aid, and the Rogues and the like are almost always an ally, not a pirating menace.
When you don't have to go through the reality check of changing perspectives, and completely switching around your alignments, on a regular basis, it can get pretty easy to associate specific players with 'the enemy'. Clearly, in a sense, we're too personally involved with the game.
We do hate Yarr, but after fighting him enough in-character, to be honest, because of him, we may not be all that fond of you either.
This is an area that some of us may have room to work on.
These and the other issues have been discussed internally and will hopefully not recur; thanks for your input!
I know I was chasing one of your peeps with my battleship, but it'd be nice if you wouldn't run 500 k out of the map when you're being chased just to save a couple million credits. :/
