Miyo waves from her pilot's seat, with a view out of the cockpit visible behind her. "Hello, Miyo Shirane taking back the truth just outside Ainu Depot in the Hokkaido system. A new religion has been born today in Kusari. The local legend Ame no Uzume, or Ame-chan, has founded the AmeCult."
Miyo steps aside for a moment and gestures to the massive ship, Ame-chan's Yacht, visible in front of Ainu Depot. "According to the Goddess herself the shrine to 'Amegod' is to be The Arch. The idea for both the shrine and the founding of a religion was proposed by a Golden Chrysanthemum sister calling herself Rika flying a ship named Amenouzume, clearly showing her dedication to the Amegod. Ame states that the general doctrine of the AmeCult is to be 'fun things', 'cakes', and 'shinythings'. The only confirmed miko for the AmeShrine is known as Fuzzything. For more information regarding this new phenomenon, contact the living goddess herself as she can usually be found aboard her yacht. Advisory for those who have never met or seen Ame no Uzume before: it is not recommended for your own safety that you do or say anything to suggest to Ame that she is anything less than the best captain in Kusari. That's all for now! Miy-"

"Hello, everyone!" She waves to the camera. "It's Miyo, reporting from the Garden Path. Earlier today at Fort Bush the LNS Blizzard, a battle cruiser belonging to the Liberty Navy's secondary fleet engaged three Vagrant Raider fighters. Another secondary fleet ship, the Maniac Killers, as well as a Liberty Security Forces fighter watched in amusement. The LSF Agent commented that "It's fine, a cruiser can handle this." and proceeded to groom her nails. Their amusement quickly faded after the Blizzard's crew was forced to abandon ship. By this point a stray Liberty Rogue fighter had engaged. Deciding to take vengeance by crushing the Raiders; the LNS Maniac Killers took action. It was then that five to six Hellfire Legionnaires arrived, telling onlookers to flee for their own safety from stray fire. Few did. The battle may as well have been over at this point. The secondary fleet at Fort Bush was utterly annihilated. Primary Fleet Admiral Hale comments that "I only wish the secondary fleet were under my command." Hopefully the Rheinland Liberty conflict ends soon, for Liberty's sake, so the primary fleet can return to domestic issues."
Miyo takes a moment to adjust her smug I told you so look to a more serious one.
"In more serious news, I spotted a large party of both Imperial Kusari Naval ships and various commercial and civilian ships in Hokkaido today. When I inquired about their strange grouping the party fled. Naturally, I followed them. I arrived in a system I hadn't seen before. I found myself outside a station reading as Heaven's Gate but apparently their group had a straggle because an IKN ship arrived behind me. I was informed that the system was a restricted military zone so obviously I assumed something classified was going on and became excited. I left, briefly. However, I went back minutes later. At this point a civilian ship called J.J. also entered the system with much less discretion than myself. It was shot down so whoever they were they meant business. I followed a party out of the system into several more systems I've never heard of. My nav started malfunctioning so I had little choice but to follow. I took cover when the party engaged several ships outside of Freeport Eleven. They shot down at least four ships at this point; all but one of them were in turn shot down by a group of bounty hunters. The lead hunter, whose ship identified as Asasin, called them Wild. 'Wild in Kusari? Impossible', I thought. The single surviving 'Wild' ship escaped the hunters and I followed it to a very strange place. I didn't see what did it or how, but upon entry my ship was hit hard and lost primary power. I had to use my emergency power and only barely escaped the system. As I floated back to the Freeport, barely intact, I went over my readings and found the strange place was called Omicron Iota. I need to investigate this further but, could there really be Wild in Kusari?"

"Hello, everyone!" ::Miyo waves to the camera; behind her is Planet Leeds:: "The stories today are much more uplifting. Isn't that great? First, after a large engagement between the-" ::she pauses and looks at a note card:: "-the Bretonian Armed Forces and Bounty Hunters Guild against the Gaians, Outcasts, Corsairs, and Joker's Thugs; I was able to get an interview with an interesting Armed Forces lieutenant named Kenji Shinoda. I was curious what a Kusari man was doing serving with the Bretonian Armed Forces so I just had to ask. According to Lieutenant Shinoda, the Imperial Kusary Navy gave his father an order to destroy a ship transporting refugees from the Kusari Bretonian conflict and his father disobeyed the order. He was executed for treason and his crimes fell upon his family. In order to protect his family, Lieutenant Shinoda and his mother fled to Bretonia and that's how this came to pass. While traditional Kusari values would call him disgraceful and dishonorable, I say Kenji is just another man trying to protect his family in the midst of a terrible war." ::she flips her note card over::
"In other news, the newly formed AmeCult is now accepting donations directly to Ame's Yacht to help build a shrine to the new Goddess. Donations of money or any shiny things will apparently be accepted by either the Goddess herself or the Cult miko, Fuzzything. This new religion is rapidly expanding and it will be exciting or terrifying to see how big it gets. Of course, this is Miyo and that was the truth for tonight. Good night!"

"Good Morning, Guten Morgen, and Ohayo! This is Miyo again reporting live from the aftermath of a battle between Liberty and Rheinland in Texas." ::she gesutres with her hand to the screen, showing lots of ship debris:: "The battle started off with only five fighters from Rheinland's main force under the command of Admiral Malexa Malte and the LNS Dreadnaught Freedom II while the remaining Liberty forces stayed near Houston. Several freelancers, civilians, traders, and the like disobeyed the LNS Champion' CO's request that they stay near the planet and engaged Rheinland. It was a ways into the battle, however, that Rheinland received reinforcements from at least one bomber. At this point the Freedom II became heavily damaged and ordered the remaining Liberty ships to move in and engage. Liberty's fleet was massive with at least three more capital ships: the Champion, the Augusta, and the Silent Storm engaging. This wasn't fast enough, however, to save the Freedom II." ::an image appears on the screen behind Miyo::
"The battle raged for quite a while with reinforcements coming to both sides, including Liberty Rogues and Vagrant Raiders aiding Rheinland. At one point, and only one point, Rheinland received reinforcement from a capital ship: A cruiser called the Command Officer. The cruiser was obliterated almost upon entry into the system due to its CO's ineptitude by the Liberty Carrier Silent Storm. In the end Rheinland fled back to their homeland and both sides sat claiming that they'd won while licking their wounds. I won't presume to decide a winner since no one wins in this kind of battle but I have the data on total losses suffered for each side. As the battle ended, Rheinland had lost one battle cruiser and five fighters as opposed to Liberty who suffered the loss of four gunboats, one carrier, one cruiser, three fighters, and the massive dreadnaught Freedom II. Again, I'd like to express that I have not altered this data nor is it a "score tally" for the battle. These were peoples' lives and both sides will be counting their losses for a long while to come."
::she bows her head in silence for a moment::
"Okay! In other news, the Joker gang in Bretonia has been more and more active lately. Recent sightings of the Hellfire Legion in Liberty have increased as well. Recent nomad sightings are on the rise, despite claims by the Liberty government that the nomads are a "prototype Rheinland ship". I would say that if this is the case then Liberty has a lot more to worry about than blue aliens, since that means Rheinland has telepathic ships." ::she giggles for a moment of pause:: "I recently got an interview with an LSF Agent, Julia Wolfe. As exciting as this was for me, I was unable to get a straight answer out of her regarding the LSF, the war with Rheinland, or the nomads. However, I did discover that her favorite flavor of ice cream is chocolate. In seriousness, though, regardless of what I say about them the LSF is a diligent agency and one of the finer agencies among the house governments that I've seen. So here's to them and their dangerous work. Well, everything, this is Miyo again and that was the truth for today."

::Miyo sighs and suddenly realizes she's on, striking a pose:: "Um...Miyo here! Unfortunately there isn't much to report for the moment. Today there was a minor scuffle outside the gate from California to New York between Vagrant Raiders, the Kaizoku gang, Liberty Rogues, and the Liberty Navy with a bounty hunter as support. The gangs managed to beat back the navy and hunter without suffering a single loss. When asked to comment on her gang and its presence in Liberty, Yuka Kaizoku stated 'We left Kusary. ... we chose to leave.'"
::the background changes to look like the Leeds system:: "After receiving word of a battle between Bretonian Armed Forces and Kusari Naval Forces in Leeds, I rushed to the scene. Unfortunately, the so called battle was only a confrontation the LD-14 mining facility between two Armed Forces pilots and two Kusari naval pilots. The Kusari Navy won their two duels and left back to Stokes mining facility. It was here that a Cartel member, pilot of the CM.Nexx, passed by. The remaining Kusari Navy pilot, Hajime Hiroito exchanged words with the Cartel pilot and the two eventually ended up in a duel. The Navy pilot was forced to flee but most onlookers would agree that the Cartel pilot would have won the duel. This is Miyo and that was the truth for tonight!"
