I have read somewhere that RP for ships is somewhat a bit restricted, to keep it in the "realism" factor. Like for example, the prisoner liner. It's meant to be a place for a prisoner-transport: its corridors are dark, eerie and demeaning, and it EXPLICITLY states that it's meant for prisoners and prisoners alone. Does that mean that these prison liners, for example, cannot play other roles as well?
Like, for example, you could decide to RP a newly-renovated prison liner to be gutted and retrofitted to become a colony ship, or even an indie-BS, or even an indie-aristocrat-liner. Is that possible? Would you always need SRP conditions to do so? and if so, where?
I used the prison liner to be a reference point because it looks and feels like an awesome cap. Too bad I've never even got to see it in action.
The prison liner is a vessel that seems to fulfill many roles around here. From a prison to a research lab to bases to virtually anything that requires space and a large ship. You can RP it as basically anything you want to because it fits neatly into all of those different roles.
There are so many ships in this mod that some arent used very often. Sadly the prison liner is one of these said ships. But that just makes it better if you decide to make one.
Perhaps we can rename the prison liner to something else, like Industrial Liner: A stripped down commercial liner hull that has been re-fitted for a variety of roles, from cheep passenger transport, prison cells, and even heavy industrial machinery.
