The Confrence class gunboat that I have been using both to shuttle supplies and personnel to archeological digs, and as of late also to run supplies for Freeport Thirteen, is begining to wear down especily what with the battle damage it recently recived in Omicron Delta in a Nomad attack.
Simply put, it badle needs a refit.
To that end, I would like to make a request. Allow me to bring the vessel, the Suigintou, into your ship yards for a refit, and have it upgraded to the Hathor configuration.
"Ms. Tomoe, the Hathor is a warship, not a personnel or cargo transport. Despite similar origins, a Conference-Class Gunboat cannot simply be retrofitted and turned into a Hathor, the ship must be replaced entirely. As of late, we are extremely low on supplies and any Hathors that are currently being built are assigned to patrol routes in our space."
"At this point in time, your request is being denied, we feel your current vessel is sufficient for the task you claim it is used to complete."

COMM TO: Order High Command
FROM: William Ironfoot (Chairmen of the Zoner Union of Independents)
Greetings Order allies,
If you will excuse my interuption, I would like to speak a little for Captain Tamoe.
While I understand the pressure that your shipyards are working under to maintain your own fleet, please do not forget that the very Hathor that you rely upon so much to defend Humanity with was given to you by the Zoners and that without our continued support and assistance your fleet would be several capital ships and many gunboats smaller in size.
I believe that the request from Captain Tamoe was not meant to offend you by comparing the magnificent Hathor class gunboat to a cargo transport but to highlight one of it's many capabilities in an area of space that is isolated and of strategiec value to us all. It is in no-ones interest, Zoner, Order or human kind for that region of space to lose a valuable asset like Freeport 13 and I urge you to reconsider your answer on behalf of us all.
There must be some arrangement that yourselves and Captain Tamoe can formulate that would be of benefit to both parties, maybe a large injection of much needed credits into your shipyard in order to upgrade your production facilities, or a gesture of much needed supplies?
I ask this in a spirit of friendship between our two peoples, Captain William Ironfoot (Chairmen of the Zoner Union of Independents)
"Mr. Ironfoot, we may have agreements with the recognized organizations within the Zoners, but those organizations have earned our trust. We are well aware that the Zoners are comprised of many individuals, most of them often working towards their own goals which rarely coincide with our own. The Zoner Trade Consortium has our trust and respect, but the so called 'independents' must earn it on their own. The Order has not recognized Ms. Tomoe as having done anything to the effect of earning that trust, and that is but one reason the request was denied."
"We are well aware that comparing it to a 'cargo ship' was not intended as an insult, but the fact of the matter is that the Conference-Class gunboat is more than capable of fulfilling the tasks outlined in Ms. Tomoe's intended usage of the craft, thus there is no sufficient reason for the vessel to be exchanged for a purebred warship."
"Further, it was brought to our attention that Ms. Tomoe has been part of events which have threatened other Freeports prior to this point in time, including Freeport 18. We will not support individuals who threaten our allies, even if they claim to be allies themselves. Such actions only serve to increase our mistrust of the individual in question."
"Lastly, while we are an organization that has had to do drastic things to ensure our goals are reached, we do still have a point of moral standing. Bribery, as much as it might help our cause, is not something we look highly upon. If there are no more questions, we'll consider this discussion closed. Admiral Staite out."
