The question in the thread title is different from the poll's question...

I do like that rules modifications are going through a "trial by fire" to see if they'll work out in the long run.

I'm still ambivalent about the specific issue of Caps being able to attack Transports, though. On one hand, if some powersmuggler thinks he can run by my Battlecruiser while I'm sitting next to Norfolk, he's in for a nasty surprise. On the other hand, being pirated by a Scylla is really the pits for exactly the same reason.

Well now its better!!! No transport can park in front of me and ram me and shot me and go "TROLOLOLOLO you can kill me you lolwut"

Tho transports are balanced now....the advanced trains have the jumping option while those with cm slots have cloak's and that pretty much says all

No, they are not in any way balanced to survive against capital ships at all. No transports are Jump-capable. Equipping a cloak and having enough fuel to make it useful carves an enormous chunk out of a transport's profit-creating capacity to the point of it being cheaper to pay the pirate if one does appear, than buy or build the cloak and get fuel for the cloak which you need on you for pirates which may or may not be present. Even if you do know for certain that there are pirates along your route, you're better off making a detour through a safer zone than risking an ecounter - if protecting the cargo at all costs is your objective.

Voted no.

Just "shoot the transports engaged in piracy" as Gheis proposed would be enough, imho.

Current rule change fixed lots of things RP-wise, broke lots of things balance-wise.

on one side - it is more realisric and RP. on other - it is lolwutism and not ballanced
many people will take fast cruisers for piracy, becuase they have CDs. Id sugjest remove CDs from anything that larger then Gunboat. that will give traders some bonus.
you may say that cruisers must have CDs for stopping BSs, because they are BS killers and so on, but with CD Crusers too good. they can have log range guns and basics/solaris for close combat. and also a CD. this abit OP

I can assure you people that actually fly cruisers would be damn happy to get the rule back and not remove their CDs. This has already been mentioned and discussed multiple times. There will be little difference between cruiser and battleship, then.

Don't fix broken things by additionally breaking something else. Especially when a Light Fighter would be able to cover up for that in piracy acts, because it usually involves low amount of people, while it won't be able to do it in fleet battles. So why does cruiser role in fleet combat should be nerfed that drastically?

I used to be opposed to this but I think it's probably a good idea now.

Also add CMs to every ship.

I don't mind it, of course I do not appreciate the fact that lolwuts can now go buy their biggest baddest battleship to simply evaporate the poor trader.
On the other hand, my statement above is not an issue, therefore there is no logical reason as to why they cannot do so.

I do not own any capital ships, and from what I seen so far everything is going better then expected so I do not mind it either ways.

Why not just make anything bigger then a gunboat immune to CD's ? how can a missile not much larger then a foot be able to kill an enormous engine of a Rheiland battleship ? or the numberless engines of a Outcast destroyer ?
