I wish to remove (fully) the LAN button on the multiplayer type screen, or better yet...remove the whole section and just have he ESRB notice...how would i do that?? if at all?
You would think that..and apparently everyone does..Not true, I have a custom hud, a few custom icons including cursors, and i have edited a few DLLs for the project..yet the anti-cheat doesnt care (im not editing any ship/commodity/equipment values)

Modding the HUD is safe. That is clientside
But I don't think menues and stuff are simple text files. I'm not exactly sure how it works. But if miss-information is sent to the server it may boot you or dis-allow you to connect.
"Three o'clock is always too late or too early for anything you want to do."
The text on menu's is all in "Resources.dll and/or Misctext2.dll" and menu designs themselves..im not sure.
EDIT: for example, Ive renamed the "Nomad Great Cruise Disruptor missile" to "Nomad Great Cruise Disruptor"(same as the ammo it fires) because it wouldnt fit on the hud, and it overwrote the number of CD's i had left. no sever problems there.
it's when you edit the ini files stuff happens...as thats what it checks. But i dont want to edit them anyway.
