Ok i was in my Shire, and about 30K from my final destination in Colorado. Then i get kicked out of TL,and oh great a Hacker Gunship. Now i am thinking i am down some cash,WRONG! the bugger ask's for all my cargo, all 4200 of it.Well i am a nice guy and ask if we can work something out> Say.... 2mil i offer, and then he say's no 3000 cargo,or DAI. Now being a nice friendly trader(my char not me) I ask if we can work something out,as that will cost me to loose like 9mil.He go's drop now,or dai,no more talking. Well seeing as i am in 1 of the powerful transport's,and i am going to loose my cargo win,or loose i open up. 2-3 minutes of fighting, and thrusting to planet, and he go's boom!.I even had bot's left.
Now tell me,How is this smart to give a transport no choice but to dump, and loose cargo(guaranteed loss) or fight, and maybe keep it(50/50 chance)?
So answer me this. Are pirates getting dumber? Or just this guy.

I agree fully with that. This time was me in a Shire(an experianced player) Next time could be a poor new player in a Train, or smaller with no chance.
The only people that I'd say are reliably great Pirate RPers are the LR and Buccaneers. Though, the traders are getting dumber too. This guy with a hold of Military Vehicles shows up. We ask for anbout 20% of the cargo. He F1's and has a glitch and flies off superfast before we can SNAC him. Five minutes later, SAME TRADER comes through with the SAME cargo. Obviously, we SNAC him.
The entire Piracy area is filled with lolwuts on both sides. Try following an average trader through the West Point-Mojave section and you'll see what I mean.

This is not unusual. The Lane Hacker Gunships are the weakest pirating Gunboat out there, if you ask me, and this is ironic, given the Lane Hacker role. It is the weakest Gunboat in armor (dies to 1 SN without a Cap VI or better) and has the smallest Gunboat powerplant. The Shire should smite an ill-flown one pretty easily.
But, your story is lacking details about whether or not it's okay. Are you an Ageira shipping Engine Components in from Kusari? Are you a Deep Space Engineer moving with Lane/Gate parts? There are a lot of Roleplay situations where it's perfectly acceptable to ask for an entirety of one's cargo. Also, when you lose 9 million credits from death, why only offer 2 millions when you didn't want to fight? As you put it yourself, the Shire is the strongest transport in terms of firepower. It sounds like the both of you just made Roleplay decisions, and it turned out that you were victorious, elating you and causing you to share. I don't see any kind of deviation from the norm in this situation. It really should fit into the bell-curve quite well.
So, to answer your question, no, Pirates are not getting dumber. What we're experiencing is an event where Transports are getting stronger.
[8:32:45 PM] Dusty Lens: Oh no, let me get that. Hello? Oh it's my grandma. She says to be roleplay.
