The man in the leather jacket heard the woman scream in the adjacent room, his immediate response being to jump up off of the wall, and make his way into the room. His eyes widened as he entered the office, looking around the walls and floor, still covered in the remains of 'failed applicants'. He quickly shook his head quickly, and looked to the Commissariat. "I'm here to enlist, ma'am."
Kapetan Danko entered in recruitment room.Nobody was there. He found a bottle of vodka on table.
He taked a long sip of strong drink from bottle because he dont like a glasses.Unshaved face showed a pleasure while he swallow a vodka.Suddenly recruitment komesar opened a door of room.
He cant believed owned eyes.Stranger was sitting on his table and drinkin his vodka.Komesar was angry like hell.
"How did you get here" he asked.
"I have many friends" my camarad.
short silence
"So what do you want from me." asked komesar again.
"From you? From you I dont want nothing!! said kapetan Danko.
"Why did come here?" tryed again komesar
"I want to join a revolution"
"What"Join to revolution?Just like that?"
"Yes just like that!!!" answered kapetan Danko
Arogant fool. thought komesar
"What kind of ship you have?" he asked again
"I have many ships, but I have come here with my order VHF, my Osiris is still hiden in Alaska" answered kapetan Danko
"Rich revolutionist,a???"
"Aha" answered kapetan Danko and taked again vodka from bottle while he searching Cigarettes from his pockets.
Vicenta eyed the man in the leather jacket. "My goodness. And here I thought I was here to sell ice-cream. Of course you're here to enlist. More information would be nice. Who exactly are you? Where are you from? Why join us?"
Ben was falling asleep when he received a message through his Intercom from Alicia.
"Sorry Comrade Warner, but a 'Danko' is being interviewed by one of our Commissars, apparently the applicant is driving him insane and needs somebody to relieve him." she said cheerfully, Ben sighed, rubbing his temples as he got out of the desk, holstering his pistol as he kept shaking his head muttering along the way.
"I'm getting too old for this crap..." he muttered over and over again until he reached the office, passing the Commissar who gave him a pitying glance. Handing off the applicant's folder to him as Ben stepped inside.
Reading the folder quickly he gave what appeared to be a cheerful and friendly smile.
"Good day Mr Danko, I am Commander Ben Warner, I have been assigned to your application to join our glorious Fighter Corps." he spoke cheerfully, as he sat down across from the other person as he read through the file.
"Let's see, from what I have read your in the Order...Captain of an Osiris...I see." he spoke in that same cheerful tone as he read through the file. Finally folding it closed and giving a sad smile to the man.
"Comrade, not that your not good enough for the Fighter Corps, but it's just your talents are more suited to fighting the Alien threat than Human threats, but do not worry Comrade!" he comforted the applicant with that same smile on his face. "The Order and the Coalition are allies as always, perhaps we will require somebody of your brilliant talents and skills in the future, but for now it is in the best interests of both yourself and Sirius as a whole that you continue to fight against the Alien threat at this time." he continued, getting up onto his feet, as he walked by the man he patted him on the shoulder as one would a friend.
"Comrade Danko, I am deeply sorry you wasted H-Fuel on such a long trip, but perhaps in a few weeks the situation will change and we will need somebody with the courage and brilliance you possess, but unfortunately at this time our goals are not parallel, once again sorry if you wasted a trip Comrade, I hope you have better luck on your next attempt" he placated calmly, walking out the door and back to his own office with a sigh...
Daemon Steele heard a women yelling from another room. Instantly one of the other applicants jumped to his feet and proceed to the offices that were occupied by the Recruitment Officers.
He thought to himself "Shame, I'll need to be quicker next time around. Some of these guys are really eager."
He noticed a man wearing the standard Jet Black Order uniform enter the room. He didn't seem to notice the other applicants and began to bother one of the Recruitment Officers. The man was then called over by the Secretary and sent to one of the other rooms in the back. The man exited the room as quickly as he entered. He was clearly upset, obviously he was rejected. The man proceeded back to the hangers with his face red with anger.
He mumbled to himself "I guess they didn't like him."
Daemon sighed and resumed reading his magazine. This time he'd be the first one to respond to the call.
Marching through the cramped corridors of the Trotsky, Alvarez was checking reports from the Red-list campaign. Recent victories had helped to push the SCRA back to the forefront of the Sirius consciousness. The problem was that the campaign was proving costly in man power. That meant he needed to fill empty cockpits.
The CIC was dark, Commander Broch on duty, she was proving a capable commander for the vessel, turning it to the ruthless duty of persecuting the enemy where-ever they were hiding.
Alvarez nodded at her, setting his reports down and scooping up his mug of coffee from the edge of the situation table.
"Keep an eye on things up here," he ordered. "I am going below to deal with our prospective Comradas."
Returning to the office, he walked into the broad, wood panelled room, with its book shelves, and large table that had been installed when Katz had been Captain. He walked around it, looking over the files, as the glass pannelled wall pivoted open to admit Alicia.
"Comrade-Captain, there are several people waiting..." she inclined her head.
"Then they must learn patience, I am not here for them, homes, I have a job to do..." He shook his head in disgust as he opened the front of his leather jacket and reseated the heavy .65 pistol in its holster.
"Send in the first of the idiota, si? I will make this short, and show you how to get rid of lines, the Coalition way!"
Daemon Steele continued to read his magazine. As he was getting to a particularly interesting article about "The applications of Communism in everyday physical activities" he heard a call from the secretary.
"Alright, one of you get to Captain Alvarez's office immediately. Don't keep him waiting."
Daemon realized this was his chance and he immediately stood up and proceeded to the Captains office. Upon reaching the door he calmly breathed in and out. Once he had his cool he entered the room, saluted and stood at attention before introducing himself.
"Allow me to introduce myself, I'm Daemon Steele Captain of the wreck that was once the Ironic Gentleman. Lost to a Naval Dreadnought in an encounter in the Pennsylvania Helium Fields."
Daemon stood at attention and and prepared himself for the barrage of questions that were to follow.
