If you're looking for things that could be changed, one would be the addition of having the story adjusted in cases where a signifigant change by the players has occured (for better or for worse, but ultimately giving the result of a positive play environment). I eralise this is a lot to ask however and often would not be easy nor simple for developers.
Coming with that would be supporting players making strides in advancing the quality of play, and the quality of the mod in general. Going with the flow when reasonable would be great. I have to get running but I'll post back with more if this is still on going when I return.
The problem is this doesnt come from a lack of skill for the players involved. It can be chalked up to:
-Inactivity or sporadic activity
-Borked mod balance (face it, some factions have equipment and ships that just suck compared to their opponents)
-Population of the involved factions - isnt very fair when one side shows up with fourty ships and the other side has less than a dozen.
No faction should ever be removed from the mod entirely, that's my point. If you remove an entire faction, you've basically done it for one of the above three reasons, not because of circumstances that can be controlled and regulated.
Anyways, as usual, your comments seem to be nothing short of trolling without any real basis or evidence supporting your claims. I'd recommend thinking before you post, but that would probably cause you physical harm, so hows about not posting at all, hm?

you seriously think i am trolling because i have a different opinion than you.
Anyhow, 2 of those reasons are good reasons why a faction should die (except the tech one of course that would need 2 be looked at).
Coming from EVE, I can say a very dynamic political landscape is fun and exciting and gives peeps a real reason to fight for their side.

Hopefully.
If they dont, it doenst matter anyway.
Here's the problem with this:

WE'RE NOT THE ONLY SERVER HERE
The story has to be written in a completely unbiased, neutral manner because who knows what is happening between the four or so active servers. Who is going to keep tabs on that? Which server is more important than another server? Why should some other server take precedence over this other server? There's a reason why ingame events have don't have an effect, and that's it. Who knows? The BAF on USA might just be too caught up with Corsairs and the KNF might always catch them off guard. Why should that be disregarded for what happens on our server?
EDIT: And I put that in big letters because it's kind of important and I've said it about 30 times.
[8:32:45 PM] Dusty Lens: Oh no, let me get that. Hello? Oh it's my grandma. She says to be roleplay.
[12:49:19 AM] Elgatodiablo: You know its nice that you have all that proof and all, Bacon... but I just don't believe you.

There isnt a 200 player limit in EVE, nor are there extreme imbalances in the equipment available to each faction. In an MMO, you dont have to worry about never having enough players on your side. This isnt an MMO, and we cannot expect to play by the same rules.
