<strike>Okay, fine, ignore the 3k-from-enemy-base issue. I'm done here.</strike>

A few fighters that close to a heavily-defended planet would be dead.

A way a lone a last a loved a long the riverrun, past Eve and Adam's, from swerve of shore to bend of bay,
brings us by a commodius vicus of recirculation back to Howth Castle and Environs.

Define "that close" please. I'd really not say that 3K is necessarily that bad. Of course it's not good either, more distance would be more prudent. But we don't really know how much "3K" actually is. The actual distance from a planet's surface to 3K away from its outer atmosphere isn't exactly a small deal.

Anyways we're kind of nitpicking here. I never had anything against people attacking me near my bases, by the way. Please ignore the usual hotheads who always find a reason to complain about that stuff on our side.
I don't really expect people to RP I've got defenses I do not in the actual game.

Once again, the main guideline and the main issue is if an attack in a heavily armed enemy system is a guerrilla style in & out or not.

Cruisers and battleships have weapons that reach 3k out. TCDs reach 3k out. Theoretically, Malta and Valetta have numerous ships of these classes and others that could easily undock and blow you out of the sky. Regardless how what distance 3k actually is, it IS close enough for you to be attacked, and you probably shouldn't be there.

Yes, I'm pretty sure that they do have access to a good quantity of defense ships.
That's kind of represented by the 101st who undocked soon after the Colonials' arrival.

As far as I see this was still by the book. They came. They did damage. They pulled out before the numerous and strong defensive ships could vaporize them.

Wait, 3k? Wasn't it 4k? Why do people change the party line when it suits them?

Way to miss the point.

As for Swift, wouldn't it be best to avoid that directly?

I didn't miss the point. I asked a valid question. Don't insult me.

You know as well as we all do that distances vary in fights, unless you just sit there shooting until one person blows up.

Thanks for answering the question. I was honestly wondering why, for the sake of argument, multiple individual distances were given, as opposed to a range of distances.

Nope, I must dissapoint you there. I just happened to call some Help in the 101st Chat.

You really want to know how far they were away from the Planet. Let me tell you this: I was sitting at the Docking Ring and would have been able to shoot them without moving.

About your Leader: I don't know everything and don't know every Leader of every Faction. Then it was not your Leader screwing up, more like an older Member who should know what to do and actually care about Roleplay.

Now I got more important Stuff to do.
