Ok lets say that I want to make a REALLY big planet. I tried simply adjusting the solar size in SolarArch, but that did not make the planet bigger. It only made the boundry until the navmap said i was at 0 to the planet bigger around it.
So, is there something else I need to edit to get the texture and model of the planet to enlarge as well?
i am not totally sure but in our "realsize" mod i tried to make with some firends we had to make new planetmodels, bigger ones... same thing like to make a station bigger i think

and can i do it wit blender?
My plan (which is too big and will not succeed, but I can dream) is to just make the rest smaller, that way I can just focus on ships and balance and leave the environment for the moment

you can make the systems a thousand times bigger by editing the navmap scale.
The planet size is not the issue. I just need to 10x or 100x the models.
An atmosphere, a deathzone, and the graphic .SHP that turkish talks of. You have to make the .SHP larger for the planet to look larger, and the atmosphere and the Deathszone if you want to do anything but bounce off of the planet.
i'm workin on a mod that will have realistic space scales but the systems will simply be rooms near a planet, say a gas giant. So an entire system that is 100x normal size would contain a realistic sized planet and some moons and stations and access points to other rooms.
Instead of going through the trouble of resizing the planets, make everything smaller. If you work the camera right, you will have the exact same scale to the player, with suns and planets far larger.
