Ok not sure if it has been said but I actualy want to play the game rather than read all these posts to be honest.
In my opinion it does not matter what pirates are flying as even if they do stop you it costs what? 5mill at the most that is half a run and then they leave you alone for the rest of the day.
Also even if pirates could use Cruisers I still really don't think traders would have escourts as to keep running and escourt will cost more than paying the pirate and if escourts where cheaper there would not be any of them as they would make no money.
Anyway why do traders hate getting attacked by pirates so much? I actualy stop crusing on my own when a pirate trys to stop me purely because it is not going to cost much and I like to RP with them.
I also tell pirates not to let me off for the rest of the day as from an RP point of view if I was a trader where stupid enough to get pirated then go straight past the same place about 5 min later then well maby I deserve to be pirated.
Also try actualy doing runs that are for an RP reason not just to make cash as fast as you can because you want to be superman. For example: I sometimes take food to planet crete it does not make a great profit but the Corsairs need food and when a Corsair trys to pirate you you can normaly get them to lower there price due to the fact that you are helping there home planet with its food shortages.
