Is there a "Legit" way of getting the trial ID. I noticed that the thread for the ID is locked.
I want to get "Used" to Nomad RP before I even apply for the keepers..
And I was reading you could just fly right to the shrine and get it.. but doing so:
' Wrote:getting the trial ID is fairly simple. you can just dock the shrine anytime you want and buy it.
finding the shrine is another matter.

Just for the record - even though they are publicly available, the Nomad Morph and it's associated ID are still faction property. If you have a problem with a specific Morph or see it lulzing around, please take screenshots and send them to me and I'll take care of it.
i think the original plan was indeed to grab one that is available at the shrine - and start RPing nomad ( or keeper if you like ) - its entirely up to you ( or so it was planned ) ... cause whats the point of trying out when even trying out is limited to a permission. - keep in mind.... ! - the only "independent" players are generic IDed players or IDs that suggest independence... ALL the rest are part of a NPC faction ( hence not independent ) - so when you grab morph, you turn into a member of the nomad faction.
the morph is restrictive in what you are allowed to do and what not - and it mostly depends on your verbal skills ( maybe add a little more than "*** the light ***" stuff - as its rather uncreative and gets particularly old after over a year of nomads flying around still gabbling about light and so - doesn t make them appear too smart )
you should also read the background story of the keepers, which differs from the vanilla lore, as its a custom background / justification about the "why" and "how" of nomads on disco. ( so you cannot rely on what you learned in the singleplayer campaign )
you should bring a good deal of patience. - especially when RP doesn t work out like you intended it to be ( roleplay is interaction, not action ) - so when you want to talk, but the other person wants to shoot you, he is as right to do so as you are to wishing to talk - never forget that.
also don t fly into places where you most certainly get owned - or where you end up dodging all day long ( like - don t be magically attracted to new york like so many other sillies that complain about getting attacked afterwards )
nomad RP should happen mostly where nomad NPCs ( or wild NPCs ) appear.
to start a safe and beneficial RP, you could / should also know about the wild - and maybe interact with the wild first - which provides interaction in a non hostile enviroment.
try to team up with other non hostiles, even if its not for a raid ( thats the worst case of rp ) - but for a chat ( a better case of rp - as you learn more from it than hand / eye coodination )
when you do all the above, - and you re a generally beneficial person - i see no reason for you not to complete your nomad trials ( which are mostly a trial for yourself - if you like it or not )
As for finding the Shrine - I've linked a certain roleplaying thread from our recruitment thread that gives you some advice on how to find it. The Wiki page seems to contain some sort of puzzle as well, though I'm not sure if it was written by a faction member.
Ive Spent Like all of today just reading the Nomad Lore and the whole Trial ID And Keepers Recruitment Page.
And even a few of the nomad Character story's and Separate Nomad Fourms. I was about to post on the Trial ID to get one but Then I realized it was locked.

Give it a try;).
Will Do. Thank You.
Guess ill talk to you when i decide when I am ready to apply for keepers.;)
it a RP server - stories and all is irrelevant when you cannot RP this particular role ingame. we have a few talented storywriters - who ll still have to deal with a mediocre chat system ingame, a bad way to RP ( being mostly immobile while writing ) etc.
what counts is how you do on the server, how you manage to transport your characters traits to others.
for example - the most beautiful background story and worked out character is pointless, when all other players get from you is silence or only a few enigmatic phrases. being a little of an enigma is good, but being too much of one is bad. - players haven t got the greatest attention span - and its easier to shoot something you don t understand than to try to figure it out. - and no, its not ( entirely ) the fault of the person not understanding you.... communication requires at least two sides... one that tries to understand and one that tries to make the other understand.
so - ingame RP is the key. - build up a reputation ( a real one ) - and... most of all.... keep on revising over and over - keep your RP interesting for you and others. being a nomad ( or actually any role, even the most mundane ) is not an achievement. - you cannot "reach a goal and rest" ( thats really bad ) - you have to keep going putting work into it. - continous quality and efford. if you think thats too much work for too little reward, - its not the right role for you to RP. ( not meant in a mean or spiteful way - but quite honestly ... when you don t have fun continously working on your role, it is not the role you ought to play )
also - don t expect wonders from today to tomorrow. - other players need to receive your RP, need to appreciate it... be open minded for critizism, many a players wish you nothing but the best - and try to improve you. ( matter of fact - more than probably 90% of the server are really cool ppl - with only a tiny minoriy being pricks )

if we are on topic can I ask some more questions about nomad trail:
1.From where does morph can get equipment. There is no guns on shrine and no other bases where morph can dock. Or morphs are pacifists? Human weapons looks ugly and have no reason inRP?
2.How does nomad mind control skills works practically in game. I m not very sure anyone will agree to fall at other player control unless it gives him little chance to join wilde/nomads?
3.How does morphs are able to join with the other nomads in nomads system if they are still hostile to nomads npc faction. (I don't know how it works on disco 24/7 server because I had nomad morph character on another server) ?

You cant get equipment after you get the ID, if you had a ship with "human" weapons on it when you got to the shrine you can transfer them to the ship (Krakens is the best way to go, since outcast are "friendly" to nomads)
Even though morphs can now dock at nomad bases, you cant buy equipment there.

Sometimes the other person will RP along, something like "you feel confused" or "you feel losing control of your sense blah blah..." or something (in "nomspeech" of course) is enough to indicate that you are trying to mind control them, though most of the time they will just shout "negage nomad11!"

As you I said above, morphs are now friendly to nomads npcs, if you apply for the keepers you get added to the morphshare where you can ask questions and ask other players to join you. Beware of wild bases though
I've found that the nomad mind control skills are useful for getting away. Most, if not all, decent roleplayers will respond to ***{You feel a twinge of pain, and the nomad fades from your view}***
I've used that more than once to get out of a fight.
A million dollars isn't cool. You know what is cool? A basilisk.
