Yes, people have been warned. QCP is the only one I know of and that stemmed from ooRP hate. I wasn't here for all of it nor did I actually become bothered by it due to time differences. However, after talking with people who left QCP because of what they felt was wrong and not QCP's RP, I feel I can safely say it was ooRP hate.
Reap what you soe?
Zoner players didn't soe a damn thing. The developers threw crap at Zoner players without thinking about the issues it would create. I'd personally like to see the issues retconn'd and fixed. However, there are many that would cry if certain toys they have access to now, vanished tomorrow.
I'd like to point out that there was no ooRP hate involved, as I was the one that ordered it, and know for sure that it wasn't. I don't appreciate such accusations, since I make a point of demanding that everything, even character creation and repping, in the QCP, is done with roleplay in mind. Not just that, but hating people is a waste of everybody's time, even more so if it's over the internet. I could be getting drunk instead of raging at a screen.
There was plenty of in-character hate, mind you, but that's all how it's meant to be.
Zoner players were supplying our enemy with Deuterium. It was our job to hit their supplies. We saw this as similar to the attacks by British Commandos into Norway in the Second World War, attacking heavy water plants, Deuterium being found in heavy water.
Some people couldn't handle the whine and left, since that was how the players defended themselves, instead of hiring mercenaries and bounty hunters, or paying us off.
Now, you make a good point on the developers giving Zoners silly things, like planets and battleships. However, the admins didn't force the Zoners to use said battleships... so, to an extent, the players hold some of the blame.
I would suggest, instead of removing things (aside from systems made by Angel, which although very pretty, make no sense at present), to change things and say that's how they always were. Drastically reduce the Juggernaut's power, for instance, but vastly increasing cargo hold would

Roleplay is not do whatever you want and play then play the experience card if someone questions how you do it. Roleplay is a two-way street, it needs to be enjoyable for both sides, so if you had a negative experience you are well within your rights to seek answers to either better understand why things happened or to correct flaws in said faction's RP. No one is untouchable.
