After Action Report:
Two reports in one, actually. Two days ago I was on regular patrol when I received an emergency message that a Rheinland battleship had trespassed into Texas. I aborted patrol and switched to my SWAT-class Roc and scrambled over there.
Upon my arrival, there were several vessels already engaging the Battleship designated "Jarek.RM". Surprisingly, most of them were pilots Liberty considers hostile themselves. two Outcast Tridentes, the Rogue Destroyer "Maelstrom" plus several independant pirates and unlawful mercenaries.
After the Battleship was added to the local scrap field, the criminals dispersed immediately and left the area without causing much of a hazzle for us.
The two Outcast gunships who agreed to leave Liberty, however, did not. When I was on my way to return to Fort Bush, I stumbled upon them after jumping to New York. XA-Aquila and Kallee, a rogue bomber, were also in the area, making the situation a tad complicated.
But, shortly thereafter a small task force arrived. Impressed by the might of Liberty, the criminals decided to not press their luck and dispersed soon after specific orders.
After that, I logged it and finished my patrol for the day.
When I started my patrol yesterday, though, I stumbled upon a suspect on the Manhattan-Detroit lane. He had disrupted the tradelane, ejecting me from the lane cycle, and immediately charged cruise engines and tried to take off. I pressed pursuit and was 4k behind, barely out of CD range, but close enough to take out the possibility for him to run to the Jersey Field. After he flew 50k into nowhere with me close behind, me the whole time calming him down and soothing him, he stopped and we could take in peace.
I had no evidence on my hands against him, except the fact he disrupted the traffic with a probable intention to pirate, especially considering the Barghest shipclass he was sporting. However, after some time of interrogation, he made the rather dumb mistake of admitting he was a pirate out of the blue:
Obviously, I decided to take him in. I offered him the terms of surrender, and he complied so far as to drop all ammunition and repair kits.
I destroyed them on the spot. After that, I demanded that he power down his weapons and head to Sugarland with me. I already called O'Brian to support me with his SWAT vessel so we could escort the pirate safely, but just this moment he decided to press his luck and my alarms warned of an incoming SNAC projectile. I easily evaded with my Libby, but he didn't respond to calls for ceasefire and continued fire with EMP and Energy cannons. At this point I decided to take this loon out of space and let O'Brian divert to Texas, as he had just launched from Fort Bush.
After 3 minutes of combat, the Barghest disintegrated.
Among the remains I even found an ominous weapon type, someone had scratched "DIAMONDBACK" on it. Odd. I returned with the lifepod and the weird weapon to Fort Bush for further investigation.

Well now, My first patrol report as a full officer. Well my patrol started simple enough, i undocked from Newark and flew about Manhattan for a bit. After a short time, I met up with Recruit Officer Travors and we soon had an oucast ship carrying lawful pilots. We ordered her to release them and she did and we sent her on her way. Then some guy;A Daniel.Jackson; started broadcasting in System comms about selling Liquid Cardamine! We started after him, but we soon discovered he was practically sitting on the Junkers Rochester Base. As he was well within the exclusion zone, i turned away and told Travors to let him be. A navy Guard vessel went in further to investigate; Im not sure how that went. We then ran into a rogue and an outcast at the Colorado Jump gate, who both quickly turned and fled as we approached. I decided not to give chase. At this point, Travors went to scan traders in the texas system, while i took one more spin around New York. I ran into nothing of any consequence. On my way to join RO Travors in Texas, i was disrupted from the trade lanes by an outcast, Cyris-The-Virus, Flying a Tridente gunboat. I scanned his hold and saw he held lawful pilots; so i asked he release those pilots to me. After a few moments, he released the civilian and Police pilot, but chose to keep the Bounty hunter pilot. He seemed rather intent on keeping that pilot, so i thought it best not to push my luck. I then asked him to leave liberty, and he said he would comply, but he did not move at first. i thought he was getting ready to attack me, and i called for assistance. I asked him again to leave and he hit his cruise engines and left. I later recieved a tip from a navy vessel that he was seen near the colorado gate, but he jumped though before i even got back to New York, so i didnt bother to try to catch him. After that, my patrol was uneventful, ending at Planet Houston. The pirates seemed rather cooperative this evening, i wonder why?
I undocked from Planet Manhattan and ran at least 3 rounds of the lanes in New York. On the final lane of the 3 time around, I ran into a Xeno, named Greed. He was demanding that a trader drop all of his cargo or be destroyed. I quickly intercepted him, and as he failed to cooperate with me, I engaged. Lt. Aiden Maggard soon joined the party, and then Officer Alex Price (Congratz on the promotion). After a while of dog-fighting, I was destroyed by the Xeno soon after his friend, Pride, joined in. Im awaiting a new Liberator. This patrol was rather uneventful.
I left Fort Bush and went on patrol. I decided to head in the direction of the Pennsylvania system. Just as i reached the jump gate, i received a call for help from a trader i believe. He said he was in the Detroit debris field and was being attacked by Xenos. I hurried to the field, but was unable to locate him. I soon discovered he had received help from someone else, and no longer needed my assistance. I then resumed my course to Pennsylvania. The trip was uneventful, and i soon was in Pennsylvania. I patroled the trade lanes and found nothing out of the ordinary. When i got to planet Erie, i found a pilot that did not seem to know to laws or protocols of Liberty, so i took some time and helped him understand his ship and ship functions, as well as informing him of protocols for ship to ship interaction. Hopefully he will remain a law abiding citizen. I then returned to New York, and did a quick patrol around the system. Finding nothing, i docked at Planet Manhattan and went off duty.
Today was my first patrol as a fully fledged officer. I took off from Manhattan, and took the lane to Fort Bush. There was a Zoner "Fearless" class Destroyer that had just undocked from Baltimore. I asked him to leave Liberty space, and he apologized, said he was just passing through, and left without questioning me. After doing some rounds of the lanes I was told that there were pirates in California. LCBO|Avenger_[GB] (Cant remember it exactly) and [Iota]LNS_Los.Angeles went and dealt with the pirates. As soon as LCBO| and I showed up and I ordered them to cease fire, they fled. They were attacking a Cryer Pharmaceuticals liner. After we exchanged some insults with the Rogues, they fled the system to New York. After that, I went to Manhattan and clocked out.

SWAT Application:
Well, Chief, I want to apply for SWAT. Reason being is that Liberators don't always cut it when your in a fight. My Liberator is outfitted with peashooters, basically, compared to the ships pirates are using nowadays. And if I am accepted into SWAT, then I can better combat these threats with bigger guns and bigger ships. I would also like to request that my Liberator be outfitted with Magmahammers instead of Vengences, that would help a lot also.
Myself, Lieutenant Maggard, and Officer Travors went on patrol starting in New York. Riverside reported a large group of pirates known on the street as "The Indians". We met them just as we came out of the jump gate, and they left after a very brief discussion.
I went back to New York to investigate a tip about someone firing on civilians. I couldn't find them but I ran into an IMG transport illegally transporting Gate/Lane parts. He was very un-cooperative but he eventually paid the fine, minus one credit. He was making deliberate attempts to stall us, and I recommend further investigation the next time he is caught.
Just as the transport paid the fine Lieutenant Maggard reported that he found the pirates again in California, this time they opened fire. We both went to his aid and an hour-long firefight ensued. In the end, the enemy sustained heavy damage to all ships and fled into Magellan. During the fight an unknown ship appeared (evidently a Phantom), and I took some scans of it. They are included with the other evidence.
