This is the informational file. Please read the whole file to make the form at the end of this transmission easy to fill out. We are The Vagrants! A group of people that consists of freed slaves who performed a riot on a Slave Liner and took it under our control. We also freed prisoners from their capturers on our escape route.
Basic Information
We are nomads (not the alien kind, the people who travel and are homeless kind) who travel together, mainly onboard our Head Quarters, the Slave Liner class vessel "Desert Sun" or the Prison Liner class vessel "Currency Lass."
These ships will usually be in some hidden spot in space as a temporary stationary base, and from time to time we move our home, travelling around the sector to keep the authorities unaware of our location.
The Sections
Section 1, HQ ships: The HQ ships will be under protection by Guardians. Guardian ships will be shared between the crew to be able to be deployed at any time. Guardians will be limited in number and they must stay within 5k range from HQ. It is their main role to protect the HQ ship after all. How can you do that if your not close by? The HQ ships are pilotable by only extremely trustworthy crewmen.
Section 2, Guardians: It is the Guardians duty to keep the HQ ships safe at all time, they must devote everything to it's defence. Sometimes even their lifes. They fly any ships up to Bomber class currently available to us. But when we have access to Gunboats they will be the ones who use them. The Guardians are shared ships.
Section 3, Scouts: Scouts are the only ships which are able to leave the system where the HQ ships are staying. The scouts are ships owned by a crewmember. These are mostly Light Fighters of the second generation, and on rare occasions Heavy Fighters. Their main role is finding new places to move the HQ ship and to alert the others if an enemy ship or a transport carrying useful goods is around.
Section 4, Service Vehicles: There is also the Service vehicles division, these ships are also shared between crewmen. These are freighters and a few repair ships. We also plan to commandeer a transport or two as a storage depot or source of income.
Section 5, Members: The members are everyone aboard either the Desert Sun or Currency Lass. The Members can use any LFs and HFs, they are able to fly everywhere within the current system and perform duties elsewhere. Their main role is getting resources, the source of which are unlucky transport ships.
All of these sections work together as a family, each of them mixed with the others. There are strong friendships between crewmen. But they all have one major priority goal. Surviving. We acheive this goal by getting different resources (commodities like food, water, medicine, metals (if we get a salvager to recycle them), different mechanicals) and money, of course. We may choose to sell the recourses on or use them to patch up the ships.
Raids and Pirating
Our prime enemy at the moment is any slaver or imprisoner. But we are also unfriendly with everyone else due to their lack of prevention of slavery occuring. We often go on piracy runs. This is the only time ships other than the scouts can leave the system which the HQ ships are in, aside from special assignments. We try and avoid demanding credits from anything we catch, and we instead demand cargo which will help us survive. We empathize with the trader as we are not completely bad. We are just captured people, corrupted by our capturers. Once we have any major enemies raids will become frequent on their bases and ships.
Outline Information
Our slogan: ALL TOGETHER
We use Pirate and Smuggler IDs
We use civilian ships and weapons (until we form alliances)
The main guidlines are:
-Staying together, flying in groups only (except scouts)
-Make traps for everyone who chases you (fly to an arranged X,Y,Z position, call members and smash chaser)
-Collect goods (water, food, medicine and so on, money is NOT important becouse of our conservativity)
-Protect HQ liners from enemies.
-Because we are freed slaves, we are trying not to capture hostile pilots (cargo pods from NPCs) and instead free anyone we find.
-When you are leaving your vessel. Exit near a mothership or dock at a nearby base
Our ranks:
Administrators-(HQ liners) - shared between a few people to be able to move it in space from time to time
Members-(LFs, HFs) - private
Service-(repair ships, freighters) - shared
Guardians-(LFs, HFs, VHFs, SHFs, Bombers, GBs) - shared between all crewmen
Scouts-(LFs, HFs, VHFs) - private
Shared ships currently in service
Other Information
We have access to a very clever piece of kit, the Prison Liner's radar: Vagrant Radar Interface
As you can see it monitors all traffic within the current system. The current system is Coronado.
