As a Kusari freighter pilot (probably the only one), I have this to say:
Yes please.
@Maelstrom:
No, it doesn't look like someone kitbashed a Rhino and a Drone. Good thing too, since that would probably look horrible. It does, however, not seem "wrong" when thought about in the context of Renzu- it's a neat little design, the sort of thing I can see IND executives approving off for mass production.
The cockpit does seem a little odd, though. Perhaps try raising it a bit, right now it doesn't look like it can anything directly in front of the ship.
If you admit it doesn't have kusari lines, then you admit it doesn't fit the lore. Renzu is a Kusari line. It didn't go to Interspace for help designing, only in help marketing. It used it's own engineers and designers. I can see making it a mash-up of the two styles, saying that Renzu was trying to attract outside intrest. But to take away it's unique style, and then replace it with something that isn't predominately Kusarian is wrong.
Quote:recently attracted a number of talented young shipwrights by promises of making a fresh expression of their talents outside the well worn channels of Kusarian
Quote:Through a limited partnership and considerable speculative investment on the part of Interspace Commerce, these unique vessels have begun to creep into the open, and grey, markets of Sirius

But to leave an import in the game over a new model that looks good and fits the general style of the game is MORE wrong.
A way a lone a last a loved a long the riverrun, past Eve and Adam's, from swerve of shore to bend of bay,
brings us by a commodius vicus of recirculation back to Howth Castle and Environs.

Renzu make all sorts of ships though, they don't make pure Kusari ships like Kishiro and Samura.
I can imagine them making ships like this, without needing to be anymore 'Kusari'.

What the heck are you talking about? This ship is damn import from Homeworld, and I don't care from what line it is, it just can't be Kusarian, because it's frakkin Kushan/Hiigaran ship! In my opinion, all imports must be destroyed or changed.
@kurosaur: The Bactrian fits the game styles, should we make it look like the Bactrian? No, because it doesn't fit the lore, house-style, or previous style of the original ship. A model that doesn't fit the line is just as bad as an import.
@Zoey Sakura: Renzu does not make all sorts of ships. They have a freighter, two vhf's, a heavy, and light fighter in thier line. They are a small humble business concern, trying to break the stranglehold that the bigger Kusarian firms have. They use Kusari engineers and employees. They are based in Kusari. They designed thier ships for rich Kusari kids. They are kusari. They just use Interspace to sell the ships to a wider demographic. Even if we say Interspace helped design the new generation of Renzu ships, they would still be primarily Kusari in design.
@Chevalier: The design is an import, but Renzu Corp. is now a part of freelancer and has a lore all it's own. It's all there in the info cards for the ships. What if we rip out the lore of the Border Worlds shipline when we next update it? Replace the ship with something made by us, but respect the lore ans style that we've already incorporated into Discovery.
