Lavinia blushed slightly at Kane's implication, and looked away for a moment, before looking back at him.
"we...were going to...to a place called...Barrier Gate...I think...and we found this...and...Alison said we could...e-explore..."
A million dollars isn't cool. You know what is cool? A basilisk.
Kane took a sip of his drink. It tasted sweet yet a little bitter in his mouth.
"Ah, yes... the Gate. Wonderful place. Generally nice people, but sometimes it gets a little out of hand there. We stage some Raider operations out of the Gate, you know? It's a nice place. Free haven for all... like this bar." He winked. "So, anything new or exciting in your life, my dear?"
Kane nodded. "I'm glad to see that you're happy being out and about with people you enjoy spending time with," he said. He paused for a moment before speaking again.
Lavinia stood with a small look back to Alison, with a little smile, and held lightly onto Kane's arm. "No...not...not really...I haven't drunk much before..."
A million dollars isn't cool. You know what is cool? A basilisk.
Lavinia reached for the first glass, and took a sip, before putting it back down on the table and coughing quietly.
"Uhm...thats...well...different..."
She did the same with the other three glasses, before pointing at one of them.
"I...I like that one..."
A million dollars isn't cool. You know what is cool? A basilisk.
"Mm, good choice... finish the glass if you want. I'll have the other three if you don't want them..." Kane said, winking. "I suggest you don't have too much to drink, if you don't drink often -- or not at all. A few drinks can be very powerful, and sometimes... messy..."
He picked up one of the three glasses, swirled the liquid around a bit, and took a refreshing sip.
