Lavinia slowly looked up at Kane, her eyes glowing a pulsing blue. "Iunno..." she said quietly, "But you're...you're warm..."
She hugged Kane slightly tighter, blinking up at him slowly.
A million dollars isn't cool. You know what is cool? A basilisk.
Kane nodded, then looked around the bar. He spied a couch in the back and walked over to it with Lavinia still snuggled up in his chest. He sat down and placed her on his lap.
"Sorry, I need to sit down. My back's a little sore from standing up."
Lavinia settled on Kane's lap, her arms still around Kane's neck and her head rested on his shoulder. She raised her head for a moment, blinking slowly, and kissed Kane on the cheek lightly. After a moment, she pulled away, resting her head back on his shoulder and closing her eyes.
A million dollars isn't cool. You know what is cool? A basilisk.
Kane shifed around a bit and lay down on the couch, letting Lavinia slowly and gently drop towards him. He lightly kissed her on her head and let his roll back into a resting position, and closed his eyes. His arm wrapped gently around her body, keeping her from falling off the sofa but still providing movement room.
Lavinia relaxed onto the sofa, smiling a little as Kane wrapped his arms around her. She huddled up to him, feeling his warmth as she drifted into the half-consciousness that sufficed as her 'sleep'.
A million dollars isn't cool. You know what is cool? A basilisk.
Yet another new arrival, a Hacker-tagged Sabre in outstanding condition, with a light grey-and-purple paint job slowly swept the ice field, the pilot looking for his prey... "Ah, well, I suppose I'll catch him later... Hm, what's this?" As the pilot slowed the ship down, disabling his weapons systems, he saw a large object on his scanners, instantly recognizing it as a Luxury Liner. Curious, he flew closer to investigate. When he saw that there were lights from within, ships moored at it displaying all sorts of affiliations, and the ship itself not broadcasting an IFF of any particular sort, he could resist it no more and flew to the docking bay. To his surprise, the doors opened.
Walking through the corridors of the ship, he saw a sign that said "Bar here" and entered. He adjusted his tight-fitting jacket for a moment and walked up to the bar, leaning on it with one arm. "You have any Bretonian Blue here?" he says.
An odd creature walked into the large bar room, it was about seven feet tall - if not taller, it was wearing black exoskeletal armour of some description, seeming to fit the creature's body perfectly. Its helmet completely covered its head, however by the design of the helmet, it was obvious to tell it was snouted. Its legs were like that of most other animals, except how the knee connected to the angle, which then sloped forward into the foot - like a lizard or even a dinosaur. It had three toes, each each having a sharp nail on the end, a single toe protruding from just below the ankle for balance. Its arms were armoured like its legs and body, it had four fingers, each with a sharp talon, similar to its feet. It appeared to have opposable thumbs at the VERY least.
It had scales, it was apparently reptilian, its long, unarmoured tail following along the floor behind it as it walked. Its tail was cut off at the end, and scarred over, as if it had lost part of it in a fight. The scales on its tail were a deep red, slight yellow streaks as if someone had splashed paint horizontally across it. It looked around the bar, the two rectangular visors on each side of its helmet making a faint blue glow, it was armed, a pistol visible on its 'belt'.
It approached the bar, glancing at the sign on the rear wall, before standing in front of Jason, its voice was rough, but somewhat proper, a slight Bretonian undertone, "Give me something strong..."
Jason smirked and put a bottle of rum on the bar, getting a glass, "No, I'll take the bottle," the creature putting down a credit chip, marked '100 c'. Jason grinned, putting the glass back, "Right-o, mate," the reptile gripping the bottle by the neck and turning to the rest of the room.
