Interesting concept but I am a bit confused. You list TAZ as a threat to the Tet way of life. How so? I ask that when you consider that TAZ is probably one of the most tolerant groups when it comes to smugglers which is what your basis is. Look who flies through Baffin most of the time, slavers, drug traffickers and other smugglers, all of which travel through without so much as a bother.
Maybe you disagree with the religious aspect of TAZ but treat TAZ as a neutral and you will find they treat you as anyone else who passes through with a "good day and safe travels."
Oh Absolutely. I don't doubt that. The thing is, i'm trying to create a new faction in the line of social commentary we are so familiar with:
Hackers are a commentary on corporate corruption.
Xeno's are, well, Xenophobic.
Liberty Rogues portray the flaws of the prison system/reeducation.
So to fit into that line of factions, Tet will be about Intolerance and Fanaticism.
Please note i'm Agnostic at heart, but very much enjoy the concept of Discordianism. I just feel that the only other ''religious'' group in Sirius that i know of would be felt as a threat to the Tet's plans. It doesnt take much imagination to say that they would be considered heretics.
That said, I'm planning to separate The White from The Red In this scenario, The White would be... White collar economists/bankers/traders/smugglers who indeed would regard the TAZ as a neutral force, constantly flying under smuggler ID.
The Red would be the ones with the Pirate ID's. Raiders and extremists, Fanatics. Constantly trying to get people to leave the Rose Garden of New York, or if they neglect, to be removed by force, unless they convert.
That said, it is going to be hard to balance an extremist religious group with a corporate front.
I don't have a bad comment, I read it, I've seen you develop it and looking forward to new ideas. It's a great story and great idea. Truly unique. Keep up the good work man, if you need something, ask.
