Example with the Mako BS - It costs 695 Million Cr.
You come with your starflea to the base, and have the correct rep and ID. You have calculated that 695 Million - 250 Million is equal to 445 Million, so that is what you have on your Starflea.
You can not buy the Mako, because the Ship dealer will tell you that the price of the Mako is more than what he see you have on your account and the trade in value of your Starflea+ equipment.
Now if you came with your starflea and had 695 Million on your account, he would invite you inside and sit down at the desk to discuss the deal and equipment you want on the Mako.
While sitting down at the friendly shipdealers desk, flashing your bankaccount (be sure to have him bring you coffee, cigars and a brandy - Afterall he wants your business), you tell him that you really don't need the Battleship Scanner, so he should deduct that from the price of 695 Million, and then you transfer 445 Million from your bankaccount to the shipdealers account.
It might make his boss angry, and if his salary is commision based, you might have ensured that his 3 kids wont be able to go to the University of Cambridge (Voted Best university for 418 years in a row in Sirius), but have to settle for the community college on planet Toledo (Allready voted the Worst university in Sirius for the 3 weeks it has been operating), but what do you care. You got your Mako for 445 Million.
As you can see, you still need to have the initial funds, but you will not need to spend it all, to get your Battleship.

Are you basing this off logic? Or will I be in deep crap for selling 1 billion worth of BS licenses?
Do you have admin confirmation?
"THE HULL HAS BEEN BREACHED AND THESCIENCEIS LEAKING OUT!"
