I finally received word from the Beuvray that my brand new Cougar had arrived... It took a while for the engineers to complete it but I finally was able to call it mine! Of course I will miss my Serval... But I would really like to engage larger targets...
And after the engineers were done I was able to undock with the Cougar.
The engineers changed the ships standard loadout on my request, according to my calculations this should do quite some damage against the enemy capital ships...
So now I have my Cougar... All that is missing are some hostile ships *giggles*
Several days ago, a large Maquis force attacked a prisoner transport convoy transporting their comrades to cells deep within the Bastille, the Acre and a small wing of fighters were tasked to drive them off, but sadly, the Maquis ships were equipped with enough Bombers to do severe damage to our Gunboat. Eventually, I was forced to abandon ship along with the crew while the Fighters fought the Maquis off. It was sad indeed to watch the Acre go up in flames, but our distruction allowed for the transport and its escorts to escape unharmed.
Since then, in replacement for the Acre as a Gunboat, and in light of my recent promotion, I have taken command of a Valor class Battleship. It shal be named the Acre in honour of the Gunboat that fell, and the crewmen who lost their lives on it, as their sacrifice should be remembered and celebrated.
At this time I am unable to provide a crew roster, as we are still incomplete, and are recieving more men from Avallon station within the week. Rest assured, the Acre in her new incarnation shal not fall in the service of the King, and we shal have many victories with her leading from the front.

Bonjour,
Patrol started at the Beauvray, from where I moved to Dauphine to perform a check of the lanes and their surroundings. At my arrival, Gap was under attack by a wing of Maquis Bombers, which were terminated with nearly no resistance. On my way back to Burgundy the only thing worth mentioning was a EFL Transport, delivering goods to their bases. The Cargo was checked and no problems were realized.
Bonjour, Grand Marshal and officiers de la marine. I have succeeded on getting the Lynx to full duty. I have inquire few missions from Madame, but it seems it was either interupted or... the hostage had left docked. That would not happen again, I assure you. I just drop this message to let you know my satisfaction on the GRN - I am heureux.

A rather strange series of energy spikes caught the attention of the Beuvray long range this morning. Two unidentified small craft were moving at relative speed across the Gallic sectors. Neither contacts were responding to long-range communications, hence the reason for dispatching Lieutenant Fabien Duval to investigate.
Upon arrival, the lieutenant confirmed that the two contacts were undoubtedly of non-Gallic origin. In the hopes of preventing any possible espionage done on Gallic Royal space, the contacts were deemed to be terminated.
I myself organized a small task force to deal with the threat, existing out of all range of vessel types. Be prepared for everything when dealing with the unknown. Lieutenant Fabien Duval chased both contacts to the Burgundy Jump hole anomaly inside of the Dauphine sector whilst we amassed our force on the exit of said anomaly.
Lieutenant Duval reported that both contacts had used the anomaly and were to be arriving at our location within moments. Which they did. The Gallic Royal Naval Ship Normandie was brought with us into the asteroid field to provide us with scans of the unknown contacts. Sadly, very little data could be retrieved due to interference from the local wildlife occupying the asteroid field.
The only scans that we managed to run showed that both ships were emanating Sirian as well as other energy signatures. Having received no form of communication from both craft and observing them executing generic withdraw tactics, they were marked for termination. Nothing leaves, nothing enters.
Both vessels were terminated but left insufficient remains for us to discover either origin or goal. d'Operations Speciales has been informed and will investigate.
L.LaCroix, Grand Marechal of his majesty's royal navy.

[color=#99DDEE]Bonjour.
I have been reassigned from Princess Aurelia to protect the life of Grand Marshall LaCroix.
My first day was concluded at this very night. Safe to say, it was quite eventful. An "innocent" conversation between the Grand Marshall and Capitaine Chevalier was held near Dijon Station where I acted as their main bodyguard.
Expecting everything to go smoothly - I suddenly spotted two hostiles on my radar and quickly dispatched my vessel to ensure the safety of the two pilots. Not that they couldn't protect themselves, it was still my duty.
Ironically I who was meant to protect the two ended up requesting assistance and Capitaine Chevalier quickly responded to my distress call. With our combined forces alongside a rather strange recruit who was flying a Combat Service Vessel, we managed to successfully neutralize the threat.

Percy the Royalist
So I thought I'd report to you what you wanted to know about those LaBrise traitors, so here it is.
I was travelling from Dauphine with that fractured [color=#FF0000]<CLASSIFIED: Intel Data on Nearby Systems> that you requested, when a LaBrise Gunboat started throwing disrupters at me.
So I stopped and chatted,
Percy: Oh sorry, was that aimed at me?
LaBrise|He're'tique: Indeed it was!
Percy: Well, are you going to expain yourself?
LaBrise|He're'tique: So how about dropping that cargo of yours...
Percy: Not a chance sunshine
LaBrise|He're'tique: Alright..I guess Ill have to blast it out of you...
LaBrise|He're'tique: Prepare to die!
Percy: Good luck, you'll have to do better than that
So he attacked me, and I began fleeing, to protect the data. Suddenly, a LaBrise L'Ane cut me off, disrupting me and taking pot-shots. I was forced to defend myself and took it out.
And then the wonderful Grand Marshall arrived to save me, for which I am very thankful...
Percy: Told you
LaBrise|He're'tique: Oi! GRN! This guy with you?
GRN|RNFS-Chant.Du.Cygne: He's mine.
GRN|RNFS-Chant.Du.Cygne: You hold your damned fire.
LaBrise|Calvi.brothers: better teach your men how to speak
GRN|RNFS-Chant.Du.Cygne: Or by the king I will glaive you in the face.
Percy: Wasn't it clear? This data is for the GRN, and you tried to steal it
LaBrise|Calvi.brothers: thanks grn
GRN|RNFS-Chant.Du.Cygne: No, not thanks.
LaBrise|He're'tique: Why does a mercanery have your ship?
GRN|RNFS-Chant.Du.Cygne: I am here for Percy.
GRN|RNFS-Chant.Du.Cygne: I don't answer to you, Corse.
GRN|RNFS-Chant.Du.Cygne: I ask the questions here.
GRN|RNFS-Chant.Du.Cygne: Why were you shooting a mercenary in service to his majesty?
LaBrise|He're'tique: He destoyed one of our ships without an engagement waring!
LaBrise|Calvi.brothers: indeed
GRN|RNFS-Chant.Du.Cygne: Oh no! Dear lord!
Percy: You attacked me, he prevented me from escaping...
GRN|RNFS-Chant.Du.Cygne: Gee. This is war, Isn't it.
LaBrise|Calvi.brothers: negative ...
GRN|RNFS-Chant.Du.Cygne: You will explain to me now, why you fired on this man.
LaBrise|He're'tique: I fired on him because I thought he stole one of your ships!
GRN|RNFS-Chant.Du.Cygne: Bull.
GRN|RNFS-Chant.Du.Cygne: Don't take me for a fool, corse.
LaBrise|He're'tique: When does the GRN allow mercanaris to fly military grade ships!?
GRN|RNFS-Chant.Du.Cygne: I. Don't. Answer. To. You.
LaBrise|Calvi.brothers: GRN , is your captain speaking by any chancce ?
GRN|RNFS-Chant.Du.Cygne: Captain?!
LaBrise|Calvi.brothers: houi monsieur
GRN|RNFS-Chant.Du.Cygne: This is Grand Marshall Lilith LaCroix of the Gallic Royal Navy.
LaBrise|Calvi.brothers: apologies madame , i did not realise ...
GRN|RNFS-Chant.Du.Cygne: No. I thought so. It's clear you missed a few years of the academy.
GRN|RNFS-Chant.Du.Cygne: You will answer my questions, for I have had it with your family.
Percy: And now the intel is in the right hands, merci for understanding
LaBrise|Calvi.brothers: madame , i ask permission to close in a bit , it talks , easyer
GRN|RNFS-Chant.Du.Cygne: Denied.
LaBrise|Calvi.brothers: madame , do you know who this percy character is ?
GRN|RNFS-Chant.Du.Cygne: Ofcourse I do!
GRN|RNFS-Chant.Du.Cygne: Are you deaf?
LaBrise|He're'tique: He destroyed on of our ships without warning...
GRN|RNFS-Chant.Du.Cygne: This man is a warrior in the service of the crown.
GRN|RNFS-Chant.Du.Cygne: Then I'm sure he had a good reason.
LaBrise|Calvi.brothers: please madame ,. i bid you to awnser
LaBrise|Calvi.brothers: why did you order him to attack me then ?
GRN|RNFS-Chant.Du.Cygne: Answer to what, Rat?
Percy: Self defence, half the reasons I carry these cannons
GRN|RNFS-Chant.Du.Cygne: I gave no order. If this man attacked you, you provoked him.
LaBrise|Calvi.brothers: our onboard camera was recording as far as i know ...
LaBrise|He're'tique: I attacked you, not teh L'ane
LaBrise|Calvi.brothers: negative madame ..
LaBrise|He're'tique: I have no idea why you attacked him, when I was the one enagaging you...
LaBrise|Calvi.brothers: i had absolutely nothing to do with this whatsoever ...
LaBrise|Calvi.brothers: maybe you mixed up the targets percy ?
Percy: I was trying to cruise away, you Calvi was foolish enough to try and stop me
Percy: While I was engaged
LaBrise|He're'tique: And you destroy him without a word?
Percy: You attacked me
LaBrise|He're'tique: a CD dosnt not constitute and attack!
Percy: You wanted the intel, I promised to the Grand Marshall here
LaBrise|Calvi.brothers: negative , i have not even scratched your shields
LaBrise|Calvi.brothers: this man has destroyed a transport of tobacco madame grand marshal , not a warship
Percy: You started it
LaBrise|Calvi.brothers: crew in service of the calvi family would never risk a cargo of tobacco
Percy: If you wanted to live, you would have avoided the great Percy
GRN|RNFS-Chant.Du.Cygne: YOU WILL HOLD YOUR FIRE, CUR!
Percy: And now you're shooting GRN ships, that's bad for you
GRN|RNFS-Chant.Du.Cygne: Enough is ENOUGH!
GRN|RNFS-Chant.Du.Cygne: I have had it with you people!
LaBrise|Calvi.brothers: hold your fire HOLD YOUR FIRE !!!!
GRN|RNFS-Chant.Du.Cygne: Each and every day you appear on our list! Each and every day you act "suspicious"! Each and every day you insult
GRN|RNFS-Chant.Du.Cygne: the crown!
LaBrise|Calvi.brothers: WE ARE PEACEFULL !!!!
GRN|RNFS-Chant.Du.Cygne: Enough is enough! Get out of my sight, or get a taste of the Chant's weaponry.
LaBrise|Calvi.brothers: an'e get out of here !!!
Percy: I'd listen to her if I were you
And then they fled. The data was handed to the lovely Grand Marshall herself, so my mission is complete.

[COMMENCEZ LE PLAYBACK]
This is Margrave Blaise Mersenne, submitting an action report for the 15th of Auguste, 784 A.G.S.
Under the orders of la Grand Marechal, a fighter wing was scrambled in response to an increasing Council presence in His Majesty's System of Burgundy. The operation was simple: remove the rebel elements and resecure our boundaries. A scout was initially dispatched to relay their position back to our wing, though, he became a bit over-zealous in his endeavors. Suffice it to say, the scout confirmed their location, and we moved in to intercept.
The initial exchange of fire proceeded as most engagements do, each side testing the other's offensive capabilities and defenses. We managed to establish a tactical command early on, but the Council wing proved their tenacity; this underestimation turned for the worst. His Majesty the Prince was forced to withdraw from the combat zone, and my fighter along with Duc Moreau's sustained critical damage. The order to withdraw was given, and the remaining Naval elements returned to Dijon without any further incident.
Submitted below are the recorder data collected during the combat scenario:
Analysis: Coordination amongst the Naval pilots was adequate, following nominal operating protocols in terms of combat engagements; some orders seem to have been misinterpreted during the initial contact, but the overall effects of this were negligible in terms of the overall outcome.
Of note is the responsiveness and speed that the Council Agama-class fighter possesses. Our Lynx-class fighters, while incorporating a large degree of firepower, tend to be hard-pressed in maintaining stable firing solutions against the Agama. Considering that they have been decommissioned from His Majesty's Royal Navy for quite some time, it is impressive none-the-less that the Council has maintained them to combat standards.
Conclusion: Despite an early advantage, the Council managed to turn the tables against us. We underestimated their coordination in terms of hit-and-fade tactics, as well as the effectiveness with which their fighters can fulfill this role. It is perhaps our folly to have assumed that this battle would rely on firepower alone, but I must admit that the rebels executed their attack with an impressive degree of precision. His Majesty's Royal Navy will need to review this battle to consider alternative methods of combat against this strategy.
To the best of my abilities, I claim the contents to be truthful and accurate.
By my hand and eye,
Margrave Blaise Mersenne

[color=#99DDEE]Bonjour.
I was dispatched on behalf of Grand Marshall LaCroix in order to deal with a possible threat inside Burgundy. It didn't took long before I encountered this strange individual. I gave the person in question a chance to peacefully depart from Gallia but his reply was less than satisfying. He was apparently on a mission, inside Gallia, and it was yet to be completed.
He initiated his cruise engines in an attempt to escape me but I managed to successfully coordinate with a LaBrise member and together we intercepted the running pilot. At this point I made it clear that he was bound for destruction due to the potential threat he was imposing on our nation.
A battle ensued which was supervised by Margrave Blaise Mersenne onboard the RNS-Sylvana. I did my best to try avoid the incoming missiles since they proved to have quite the impact on my vessel. Finally I spotted a weakness in the opponent's technique and charged in without hesitation. The stranger's ship was shot down and we left the remaining parts untouched as a reminder to anyone else who sought to harm our homes.
We have little to no information regarding this pilot who we shot down, but minor intelligence have been compiled from the data-records of this small skirmish. Codename: Phantoms.
In sight on recent actions you have committed in favor of the crown, the king, the Gallic Royal Navy and myself, you have been awarded the title of Capitaine L'escouade Tricolore, with all privileges attached to such a title.
