Quote:I actually tried pirating once, i was very pissed because IMG tried to pirate my BMM miner, so i made IMG bomber and i intended to pirate 50 million credits from IMG miners to cover up my losses, but first two miners i encountered made me come to my senses, so i let them go and continued to fell like an ******* entire day, i never tried again and never will.
You're obviously doing it wrong.
Some people just can't be pirates. Maybe you need to accept that. But I think what you need to accept is the fact that this game is a pirate/trading/smuggling/militant/policing/warmongering kinda game. If you can't handle the heat:
Quote: If you are alone trade in repair ship or freighter, nobody is forcing you to use heavy and fragile big transports.
Or further more, spend that cash on hired help. The reality is that pirates will be pirates, so pay up, escape or roll over.

So you think hiring a merc or FL dude will save you from pirates.
First of all, organized pirates ( the faction ones ) will usually call for some help.
And basically, most of your pirate opponents will probalby still manage to destroy your trader ( though at the risk of being destroyed by the escort after ).
I hatehatehate so say this, but the only thing, that prevents you from 99.9 % of piracy is metagaming. Sorry, but that's a fact.
' Wrote:Simple, demand them to stop and wait with you for the next trader in the next 5 minutes. That way you get company.
Don't do this, telling someone to stop is not a demand, and telling them to wait is the same thing as telling them to stop. I believe someone got sanctioned for doing this not too long ago.

Yes, yes I do. You ever heard of the tactic 'scouting'?
And further more, it's called 'strategy'. You don't need to meta game, you need intelligence obtained by characters whom you've hired to make sure the path is clear. Either by fighting or evasion.

Good point, good point.
But even that doesn't make you unhurtable. Though it does almost.
EDIT: Yes I did hear of it, I got good pirate experience actually. I didn't think about it, since scouting isn't used too often.

And I don't think IMG and BMM can actively pirate.
Get an indy pirate.
no i was intending to charge it to 10 different guys, and if you read IMG and BMM IDs youll see they are actually allowed to pirate each other altought as my would be victim explained to me none of them support that kind of behavior, in fact that way i got into this unfortunate business with IMG in the first place(sorry my bad it was BMM bomber, it would make no sense for IMG to pirate IMG) but the fact is by the time i started pirating i was already richly regretting the fact that i decided to let my anger spill over the backs of innocent people, so their plea only gave me a chance to withdraw and keep my honor, if i ever in fact make a pirate character it will be true pirate actor, that will only ever ask for 100 000 credits (smallest amount available in givecash) and will never in fact hurt a trader even if he refused to pay but will only shot off his shield and demand surrender, and then screenshot the "I surrender" msg and save it as a trophy, that will be if i ever get tired of Law enforcing, after all we are all here to have fun and if i need money ill go Mining or trading, it is much more effective and there is no collateral damage.
I saw you walking down the streat, your eyes, your lips, your nose, everything was so perfect. I started singing "who let the dogs out."
ye it gets annoying for me as a pirate to have people running away without saying anything  but it also gets annoying for pirates to shoot at me without saying anything. Don't you see people? It's a cycle! The more one side pisses the other off the more the other will do the same thing back.
If you want people to stop this stupid trader vs pirate debate get your act together
