Well technically when antimatter meets matter (ie ships) the amount of matter and antimatter will mutually annihilate each other (massive explosion) so...why not make snacs and razors one shot everything (caps included)
The SNAC is taken from the Wing Commander weapon of the same name is it not?
Energy in Sirius is derived from fission/fusion reactions. To have antimatter in general use as a weapon takes the energy economy of Sirius to a whole new level.
Space ship GAME with horrid physics, a sun killing nomad, commies running amok, force fields that will stop ANYTHING no matter how little is left on the tiniest little ships, nanobots that will completely restore a 2 kilometer warship from scrap back to LOLPWNZORS in a fraction of a second and the French having a powerful military...
Not much makes sense, an antimatter cannon being the least of the lulz. Keep the snac I say.

How do you know? Are you suddenly and expert on antimatter weaponry? Or did you take a delorean?
*cough* It's Scifi for a reason! You could ask a person 2000 years ago if the laser beam is possible, or even ask someone if creating light is possible?!!
