You'd be surprised at what having the prototype stolen does to investor opinions on whether or not a very expensive piece of hardware is worth putting money into.

Characters
Alan Markson: The Hellfire Legion's Lord Commander
The Perihelion: Freeport Four's guardian, and yet much more. Missing and assumed Lost with all hands.
Eric Dresmund: Junker, smuggler, thief. Last seen drunk on Beaumont
Vayrn Wyard: IMG Recon pilot turned Neo-Terran Captain. Last location unknown

Also, there isn't any lore that states Liberty HAS NOT continued with the Osiris design.

See, the problem here is that everyone jumps in and write his conclusion on the matter. There is nothing that says what happened to the whole team. Nothing about the blueprints. Nothing about the performance and cost of the ship. Nothing about the availability of the technologies after the war (except the cloak one). etc. etc. etc. etc.

You can write all you want, but no one is right in the end because there is NO factual data on the matter.

The osiris was a secret project. In my view all the people involved in making it defected to the order and destroyed the blueprints.. So it is impossible to reproduce the osiris

... and call it the Seth class. *ahem*

I believe the original Osiris has since been improved upon, with the Order using some Nomad tech in the design. The original vessel did not have this, the current makes, while using the same hull, are a different ship internally. That is tech that Liberty cannot duplicate - yet.

That would be my take on this. They stole a prototype. Upgraded it. It's a different ship now.

Liberty Dreadnought > Osiris

Who says they can't build it? I just don't see any reason for them to do so when the Liberty Dreadnought is totally pimpin' and they already have 124897098263894371274 caps.

EDIT: Also what the guy above me said. The Osiris used by the Order now is not the Osiris of 20 years ago.

Also, there isn't any lore that states Liberty continued with the Osiris design. Maybe the goverment deemed it to be inferior to the Liberty Dreadnought and ditched the project. Perhaps they're working on an improvement on the original Osiris project. Who knows.
Absence of evidence is not evidence of absense.

Because it's a police force, duh. I'm not asking why can't the police force get them, I'm asking why the creator of it can't get them.

I want to get off Mr. Igiss' wild ride.
