Using an analogy of nomads being like robotic/computer guardians, how long is it before they go into some sort of "power saving hibernation" mode? The sleeper ships had jumped before the nomad fleet which blew up Sol arrived, and we know that they must hibernate because if they were created and active in the time of the Dam K'Vosh, why weren't they active in Sirius until the artifact was found?
The sleeper ships wouldn't have all arrived in Sirius instantly, and we don't know how long it took for them to cross the space between Sol and New York/London/Tokyo/Berlin, so the nomads could have easily assumed that the danger was over and gone back to sleep, thinking that all of humanity had died.

They were made in different places, separate from one another.
If the Nomads were the guardians/protectors of the Dom K'vash's left overs, why would they destroy the very systems they were charged with defending? They want Sirius intact, not a hundred blown up suns.
Whether the Sol and Sirius Nomads were connected has no effect on the present issue.

If the Nomads were the guardians/protectors of the Dom K'Vash's left overs, why were they going "PWN UR SUN OLOL" over in Sol?
Maybe because Sol is not a left over from the Dom K'Vash?
If Sol was a left over from them, then maybe you would of been seeing other ships flying around besides those of the Alliance and the Coalition.

Except that, according to the Keepers, Nomads are not omnicidal creatures like the sort that would blow up a sun for no reason except to kill ****. They aren't blue message hunters in-RP.

In an attempt to stop the humans from destroying their Sirian star systems. As for the Rhienland expedition waking up nomads in Sirius, I think that's just a bugger up in the plot line.

You're missing the overall point...
Since the Dom K'Vash are known to like making experiments on stuff, perhaps the Nomads from Sirius were made in their more curious and learning sort, they were placed in here to analyze whatever and then return with the information to their masters.
The ones on Sol were probably more aggressive to guard whatever might of been there to be guarded.
For one, we know they were physically different from the ones in Sirius, there's concept art of that in Freelancer's development files.
